1805 years after the age of the first king. A boy named Scorch and his twin sister Alissia run away from their abusive father and find themselves in Allenwall, the royal capital of the Edessa Kingdom. After a tragedy Scorch enlisted in the army in order to change the world, but he loses his arms and his heart, soon he was rescued by a scientist who gave him new prosthetic arms and a heart of iron. Now Scorch seeks revenge on the people who ruined his life and turns into something terrifying.
