Chapter 2: Chapter 1

Some people always follow the direction of the wind, while others go against it. With just this in mind, we can already get a rough grasp of what type of human one is. Though this isn’t really secure, this question was the foundation for a more complicated test of personality.

Due to your previous karma, the difficulty has spiked.

Difficulty: Hell Mode

Introduction

Information minimal due to difficulty. You have entered the body of a being who has antagonised most of the known world, the person that will be executed with you is the prince of your country.

The results were roughly that if one follows it, they are a safety-oriented or inexperienced person. Following the strong wind, they won’t encounter any resistance and maybe, they will also get a boost towards the unknown.
As you should have already imagined, the contracted soul isn’t that type of person.

The contracted soul was the wind itself, if it was a tornado. The chaos it created forced everyone to follow it, it was uniquely destructive for the things that stood in its way. However, it also damaged the things that it was close to with its overwhelming capabilities.

“Register Shiva Hara as my name, like usual.”

While thinking that and receiving an acceptance window from the System, he put his index and middle finger at the base of his thumb before thrusting strongly and breaking a joint, removing his hand from the metal cuffs . After that, he did the same with the other hand. He had now freed both of his hands from their shackles.

“The difference of levels between me and those buff guys is probably enormous, if I tried to run I would become dead meat the moment I moved. I guess there’s only one alternative, but it’s a bit risky with that bad luck skill, oh well.”

While waiting for the appropriate moment, Shiva closed his eyes and inspected the state of his body and soon discovered that it was severely malnourished. He also had traces of lethal poison in his blood and a few superficial wounds on his abdomen and back, it was a miracle that he was still able to think clearly.

“In front of you, right now, you have the two worst criminals of the whole empire!
The former prince, the traitor of ti country, and the trash of the royal capital, Ronald Whirlen Levantine!”

Murmurs broke in the crowd as people looked at the both of them with scorn. Meanwhile, the trash in question opened his eyes and looked at his executioner right in front of him talking to the crowd. The other one was to the side of his victim, the prince, preparing to use his axe to not so cleanly chop off his head.

“Let us proceed with the first execution! Eugene Woodfel Reuvan, for your crimes of treason and plotting to overthrow the current monarch, you are to be put to death! Your final words?”

While the prince spoke about his innocence and how the country had been thrown into a beast’s grip, Shiva warmed up his muscles and prepared to move. To the people watching him though, it looked like he was just crazily twitching his body.

“Very well, proceed!”

When the axe started moving towards the head of the prince, Shiva sprinted towards them, breaking the chains holding his feet to the ground and pushing the executioner off the somewhat high platform. Then, he gripped the axe that was still in the hands of the buff guy and kicked him away.

His leg made a cracking sound but Shiva didn’t seem to feel it much and the beast let go of his weapon, his head was spinning, his eyes were seeing double, his muscles were screaming for him to stop and the bones were creaking with uncertainty.

At that moment, when the prince thought he was saved, to the axe still carrying the strength and momentum given by the executioner was added explosive power as Shiva's arms went limp and let go of the blade, now centimetres away from Ronald’s neck. The plan was to kill the guy so he could level up and heal.

“...what?”

A fountain of blood gushed out as the rusted axe didn’t have the sharpness to completely cut off the high level royal’s neck, even with the enormous amount of power backing it.

“I’m f*cked.”

Shiva sat down and thought. He had failed to instantly kill him, probably due to the bad luck effect. Both his arms were mangled, a rib and one leg were broken, the other had most of its muscles torn, he now had to wait and pray.

“...What the hell happened here?!” A tall middle aged man with white hair and a finely trimmed beard appeared from the entrance to the arena, looking at him with confusion. By now the two executioners had gotten up and were walking towards him fast on the platform, but they stopped and kneeled in the presence of the man, every other spectator had gotten quiet.

“Explain, Ron, how you ended up in this state and situation.” The man approached him and removed his gag.

“Did not want death so tried running away.” He spoke shortly as he didn’t know sh*t about the guy he had taken the body of.

Following a red light that enveloped his entire body, the open wounds were closed, the poison was detoxified, the bones were realigned and reconstructed and the torn muscles were regenerated. Not also that, his head had stopped hurting and his sight had returned to normal.

All of this caused an immeasurable pain to Shiva, but all he did was grit his teeth and try his newly regenerated arms. The prince had finally died by bleeding out.

“How did you even level up, anyway? Nevermind, that’s not important. The only important thing is that I don’t have to waste a high-grade potion, get up. We’re going to the manor.”

“This guy is too chill, he saw me in that disgusting condition but didn’t bat an eye, then he didn’t even care that I levelled up from nowhere. Wait… is this…”

Yes, you stupid bastard, this was an unchangeable event.

Even without all this you would have survived.

Shiva took a deep breath, hugged the two confused executioners and patted them on the back, got down from the platform and then fell to the ground while watching the sky. He had suffered lots of pain to try to survive something that he would have survived anyway, he had almost made his heart literally explode for nothing.

“F*UUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK! You stupid piece of rotten flesh! Go f*ck your stepsister and stepmother and all of your step cousins! I hope both sides of your pillow are hot at night! ...”

Shiva hurled insults at the sky while everybody was leaving mechanically like nothing had just happened, like somebody wasn’t screaming in the air, and the old man waited for him to move, silently, watching the void.
