Yuki and Jiraiya left the house soon after. Yuki paused at the top of the stairs leading down and looked up at a familiar girl in black clothing once again standing on a rooftop not far away. She only looked for a second before slowly making her way down the stairs. she decided to ignore it for the time being. Right now, she was still trying to get used to this new body. It was much smaller and frailer than her old one. Before, when she was in her original body, she was quite fit and worked out almost every day along with training her psychokinesis. Besides going to school, she had nothing else in life that she cared about. Her only goal was to be as strong as her elder sister, or at least the strongest in the place she is in now.
"Little Yuki, you are in for a treat. We are going to one of the best ramen shops in all of the land of fire! Maybe even the world." Jiraiya interrupted Yuki's thoughts. She nodded her head and continued making her way down the stairs.
The girl in black turned her head and looked at the little girl with a furrowed brow. "I know I felt her gaze just now…. I will look into this later. It seems she is living here. If she really can see me, then she may be in danger. Especially if she can see them…."
Yuki trotted next to Jiraiya, who seemed to have sped up his pace on purpose to give her a bit more training. She did not complain, nor did she stop to catch her breath even though she had already started sweating. Jiraiya looked at her little stubborn face, and a warmth flashed across his eyes. He was glad he took her in under his wing instead of that other brat.
When the two arrived at a small stall on the side of the road, Yuki, who was now drenched in sweat, wiped her face on her shirt even though it was already wet. She looked up to see a certain rude boy peeking inside the restaurant with a bit of drool running down his chin. She thought for a moment before she tugged on Jiraiya's hand and pointed over at the young boy. "Jiraiya, look."
"Hmm?" Jiraiya looked up at Naruto and sighed. He looked down at Yuki's big innocent eyes and asked: "Do you want to invite him along?"
"Up to you. I just figured since you knew him, you might want to ask him along." Yuki felt bad for the kid. She knew he was from the orphanage, so he probably did not have any money to get anything here. What she did not understand was why he wanted ramen? Was it really like Jiraiya said, and the ramen was out of this world here? Or was this world's food so bland that it didn't matter? Yuki's interest was now piqued. She hoped she was going to taste something good. The only ramen she knew about was the instant kind. And they were only 'eh' in her book.
'If it tastes good, then I might come back again. But Ramen is not good for one's health. If I really wish to build up some muscle mass, train with and strengthen this body, I will need to eat properly. As of now, I am quite weak.'
Yuki really did not know how this chakra stuff worked, so she still planned to return to her old training regimen on top of whatever Jirairya taught her. But that also required a high protein intake.
Hearing Yuki's words and seeing that she didn't care if Naruto joined or not, he nodded his head in approval once more. He had heard Naruto call her a monster before, but it seemed she held no ill will against him for it. Since that was the case, he held on to Yuki's hand, and both of them disappeared from where they stood only to reappear behind Naruto, who was in like some kind of trance as he looked into the ramen shop: "Naruto, come on I will treat you."
"Ahh!" Naruto almost jumped out of his skin, hearing a voice coming from behind him. He whipped his head around to see a big face with spiky white hair causing him to stumble backward in fright and onto his butt. "Ero-sennin!"
Yuki turned her head and chuckled. She found the kid quite amusing. But that amusement disappeared when she heard the next words coming out of his mouth. "Why is the monster here!?"
Yuki's eyes flashed as she reached out with her hand. "Those who call people monsters are the real monsters."
*Flick!*
"Ouch! Why did you do that!?" Naruto yelled out, rubbing his head as he stared at Yuki as if she was some kind of fiend. Yuki retracted her hand and looked at the red mark on Naruto's forehead, feeling very satisfied. With a snort, Yuki crossed her arms across her chest and ignored the baldy. She did not want to fight with a small kid.
"Haha! Serves you right, brat! Luckily it was her and not me." Jiraiya jumped in. While Yuki did not wish to lower herself to Naruto's level, that did not mean that Jiraiya wouldn't.
Naruto glared at Jiraiya and then at Yuki as he climbed up to his feet. He was about to run away when Jiraiya grabbed his hand and led him into the ramen shop, and sat him down. Yuki took a seat on the other side of Jiraiya, not wanting to be near Naruto. She figured that if she did sit next to him, he would probably complain, and it would then turn annoying. "Naruto, go ahead and order."
" Miso Tonkotsu with extra pork!" Naruto instantly yelled out.
After letting Naruto order, Jiraiya showed the menu to Yuki, who he knew had never been here before. "You can get whatever you want. But the one Naruto ordered is rather good."
"I will order…. This one." Yuki pointed to the special of the day. It was ramen if you could call it that, that was heaped with different kinds of meat. Even in the picture, all you could see were layers of meat overflowing out of the bowl.
