Chapter 1: Chapter 0. Intermission and The Beginning

'Four hundred years ago, by the decree of the newly enthroned [Demon Lord], demons began a massive scale invasion no one had ever seen against humanity.

The swiftness of the demon lord's brand new army caught kingdoms all across the human continent off guard, leading to the demise of more than half of the existing kingdoms within the span of two years. Those who were captured by the demons were either turned into a slave or killed on the spot.

Driven by their strong desire to survive, the human alliance began offering prayers to whoever gods and goddesses being worshipped across the human continent, while holding back further advancement of the invasion to buy the alliance time.

God after goddess after another god was given offerings in the hope to appease them to help humanity make a breakthrough from their impending doom, none of them came to answer their prayer.

Entering the fourth year of the invasion, however, as the army of the demon lord were closing in to humanity's last bastion in the Capital City of Iosis, one prayer directed to the Goddess of Fertility Mila was answered, the goddess herself descended from her realm to directly give her blessing to humanity in form of [Demoiselle], a group of young women gifted with a blessing to eradicate everything that was evil.

This was the turning point of humanity's fight for survival as the demons launched their grandest forces yet throughout their occupation in the human continent, and humanity won that war, pushing the demons back to their realm after countless wars being fought.

Unfortunately, the Demoiselles weren't able to kill the demon lord in time as he made a haste escape back before they could find him in the battlefield.

Slowly but steadily, humanity reclaimed their lost land and rebuilt their ruined kingdoms around the newly formed religion based on the teaching of Goddess Mila, [Temple of Fertility], as more young women all across the continent joined the fight against the demon until this day.

Demon Lord Erg, who was the sole apostle of Demon God Yaad, however, swore that one day demons would one day rule over humans as he dedicated his entire life to plot against the powerful being called Demoiselles.

That was until history saw the rising of a true conqueror unlike any other right before them. He who reconquered the other side of the continent, he who was neither evil nor good, he who charmed every woman to his side along his road to conquest.'

A collective noise of unrhythmic footsteps sounded as a group of men walked along a mountain path leading to its top. Despite having a human-like appearance, the horns that seemed to grow from the side of their head was proof that they were demons.

"General Diz, can I ask something?" asked the demon with curly blue horns to another demon with antler-like horns in front of him.

"What is it, Crai? If it's unrelated to our current mission, better swallow that question of yours back and shut your mouth," General Diz said in a sharp tone.

"Well, this mission is related to wild magic that spread out of this mountain area, right? Why didn't you ask Fer to join this mission instead of me? She's more knowledgeable and talented in wild magic research than me," Crai told General Diz.

"Crai, you didn't read the report I gave you, did you?" The demon with dark spiral horns behind him rebuked Crai with a glare.

"Uhh, I'm sorry?"

"You muscle-brained seashell… oh well, I'll explain it here."

"Calling me a seashell is a little bit, Bran."

"Shut up! Just listen to me!" Bran snapped at Crai with a chop to Crai's forehead.

"As you might have realized from the magic density in this mountain, this whole area is currently covered in a spell that makes any female of any familia going through an unbearable arousal, making them unable to think of anything else but to quench their arousal," Bran explained.

"Ohh, so that's the reason why you choose me over Fer. Hm? Excuse me, did I hear it right? Did you just tell me this wild magic can cause arousal in women?" Crai said with a puzzled face.

"Yes, and a very strong one. Fer is actually the one who discovered it and became its very first victim after she carelessly walked into the area. We even had to call two succubus to the scene to finally calm her down," General Diz answered.

"It was that bad?"

It was hard for Crai to imagine Fer, his own childhood friend who was hardly expressive to begin with, being affected by a literal aphrodisiac spell.

"! I sense something!"

However, Crai had to stop his train of thought as his detection magic picked up the epicenter of the obscene spell.

"It doesn't seem to move at all. That being said, is it just me, or do you guys also hear that noise?" Crai asked as he closed his eyes.

Both General Diz and Bran followed the young demon as they closed their eyes, trying their best to pick up any noise that was out of place, and they found one.

"That sounds like something writhing? No, it's a crying sound isn't it?" General Diz said.

"It came from the mountain top, Crai!"

"My detection magic doesn't pick up anything else, it has to be the source of the spell."

The three demons immediately paced their way to the mountaintop to find a small wooden building with architecture they had never seen before. Inside the opened building was an ornate cradle with unknown jewels. And there it was, crying inside the said cradle was a baby with blood-red horns.

"What do we do, general?" Bran asked as he drew his sword.

"Wait! I think the little guy is harmless," General Diz stopped Bran from his step.

"What makes you think that creature is harmless?" Crai asked with a perplexed face.

"... A father's intuition," General Diz said, approaching the building without readying his weapon.

"Crai, prepare your lance just in case something happens to the general."

"Got it!"

Ignoring his subordinates, General Dis calmly made his steps to the cradle as he took a look inside. A horned baby boy, he was surely a child of demons, however, there was one thing about his horns that concerned General Diz.

"Both of you, take a look at him," General Diz called his subordinates as he took the baby out of his cradle.

"Huh? He's just a baby? What's wrong with him?" Crai confusedly asked.

"Take a good look at his horns, the bastard has his grow out of his forehead instead of the side of the head like any other demon would," Bran explained.

Crai could only nod without actually understanding the actual meaning of Bran's word, which Bran could immediately tell as he let out a loud sigh from it.

"What I'm trying to say is there's a chance that this baby is a progenitor of a never known familia."

"Ohh… wait, isn't this a big discovery, then?"

"That's what I'm trying to say here!"

"Bran, Crai, write a report and send it to his majesty. I'll set up a camp here and take care of this baby until we find a way to dispel his power before we can present him to the king."

""Yes, sir!""

After his subordinates left him, General Diz put the baby back to his cradle to realize a piece of paper was stuck in between the cradle's frame and the actual bed. It had unknown symbols and demonic letters written on it.

"Reiwa Ryuugamine, I suppose this is your name, huh?"

General Diz took his seat beside the cradle as the baby gradually stopped his crying and fast asleep.
