Luo Yunyang carefully strode step by step on a narrow pathway in the wilderness!
With a long blade strapped to his back, he looked no different from any ordinary traveler.
There was no reason he was currently dressed like that, but a strange energy had been radiating from the surrounding area ever since the Sky-Wrecking Great Sage had died.
It was hard even for a natural Taiyi Yuan Venerate to fly through the sky under the circumstances.
Flying through the sky was no problem for Luo Yunyang given his level of cultivation. However, this way of traveling was an extremely slow, strenuous process. Doing so would mean that he was just pitting himself against the deceased Sky-Wrecking Great Sage.
Thus, after flying a short distance away, Luo Yunyang decided to use the most common way of getting around the Divine Sky and Wind Valley—walking.
His walking speed was extremely fast. In just a minute, he was able to cover over a hundred miles.
Every single step felt refreshing to Luo Yunyang, who hadn’t even taken a few steps in many years. However, he gradually got accustomed to the feeling of walking once again.
The sound of hoofbeats came from afar. Upon following this sound, Luo Yunyang saw a giant beast that was about thirty meters long flying over.
Even though Luo Yunyang was walking at a significantly fast pace, his speed was only comparable to that of the flying beast. What attracted Luo Yunyang’s attention was not the beast but the circular carriage pegged atop it!
In the carriage were sitting six formidable martialists who looked extremely surprised to see Luo Yunyang. “Who would have expected to see someone walking out here in this valley!” one of them exclaimed.
“Does he not know that it only costs a hundred pieces of pure gold to rent a Crystal Yuan Camel?”
Luo Yunyang felt slightly embarrassed upon hearing them say this. He did not know this. A hundred pieces of gold was an insignificant sum to him.
“Sir, hop on! Let us give you a lift!” One of the guys smiled and shouted at Luo Yunyang.
Even though he would prefer not to be indebted to other people, he was simply sick of this way of traveling. “Alright, I’m sorry to trouble you!” Luo Yunyang replied with a smile.
With a quick step, he ascended lightly onto the carriage.
“Tashan, this sedan is co-shared by all of us. What right do you have to invite others on board?” A stern man chided him.
The man who had extended an invitation to Luo Yunyang went red with embarrassment. He had only offered Luo Yunyang a ride out of kindness. He had never expected his offer to be so strongly rejected.
“This… Shouldn’t crystal harvesters help one another in this valley?” the man known as Tashan replied with a hint of irritation.
Just as the stern-looking man opened his mouth to speak, a dark-skinned man interrupted. “Enough, both of you. Stop bickering with one another. Tashan is right. We should help anyone who seems to be facing some sort of difficulty in the Sky and Wind Valley.”
The dark-skinned man was at the sixth-level Heavenly Venerate. Given his cultivation base, he could rule an ordinary cosmos in the realm of the 36 Great Cosmoses.
However, in the Sacred East Sky Continent, his status was not very low or very high.
“Thank you all for offering this ride. I will kindly repay this favor when I get a chance in the future.” Luo Yunyang smiled at everyone on the carriage.
“What is this talk about repaying us? Fate made us meet in the Sky and Wind Valley. My name is Liyuan, and I am the captain of the Black Flame team. How should I address you?”
“Luo Yunyang!” Luo Yunyang didn’t try to conceal his identity.
Liyuan and the rest did not appear surprised upon hearing this name. “Brother, did you come to the Sky and Wind Valley to look for Sky Wind Yuan Crystals?” Liyuan asked after each of them had introduced themselves.
“Sky Wind Yuan Crystals? Isn’t it Sky Wind Divine Crystals? How did they become Sky Wind Yuan Crystals?” Luo Yunyang frowned.
“Ha ha ha… Brother, you are funny indeed. The Sky Wind Divine Crystals aren’t something you or I can have access to given our status. They are exclusively meant for the enjoyment of big shots.”
“Acquiring some Sky Wind Yuan Crystals in this region for our training purposes will be good enough.” Tashan chimed in.

“A Sky Wind Yuan Crystal is 10,000 times inferior to a Sky Wind Divine Crystal. However, it is still considered a very rare treasure for anyone below the Universe Grade.”
“People like us can get by with just hunting some Sky Wind Yuan Crystals. Even though it might be slightly dangerous, it has been proven to provide bountiful cultivation resources for our training.”
Luo Yunyang nodded. Even though he had not mingled much with normal cultivators, he had read up on them before in the repository. Many low-level martialists were very uptight about the cultivation resources they possessed, as such stuff was hard to come by.
“Brother, don’t tell me that you are here for the Sky Wind Divine Crystals?” Liyuan asked inquisitively.
Actually, Luo Yunyang hadn’t come for the Sky Wind Divine Crystals. He was on a mission. Of course, this was an extremely rewarding task assigned to him by the sect.
“I am here to complete a mission given to me by an elder of my sect!” Luo Yunyang said with a smile.
He initially thought that Liyuan would press on by asking for further details about his sect. However, it seemed as though Liyuan was aware of the sensitivity of the topic, as he instead continued talking about certain happenings in the Sky and Wind Valley.
Even though Luo Yunyang had at first known very little about the Sky and Wind Valley, the books in the repository had expanded his knowledge way beyond that of even Liyuan and his peers.
Hearing him talk about the things he had learned from books gave them valuable insight they had never had before.
As the journey progressed, the group learned many new things from Luo Yunyang. Even the stern guy, who had initially been hostile, now viewed Luo Yunyang with a look of reverence.
As the Crystal Yuan Camel soared through the wild plains, the vegetation began becoming denser. A few small beasts also began appearing in front of the group.
Liyuan and the others, who had been happily chatting with Luo Yunyang, suddenly tensed up. It seemed as though they were ready to pick up their weapons and charge into battle at any moment.
“Brother Luo, the Sky and Wind Forest is right ahead. According to the rules of the hunters, we should be parting ways there. Please be careful with everything you do. We wish you success,” Liyuan said.
His words were sincere. Even though Luo Yunyang’s knowledge had really exceeded their understanding of the area, they still felt as though they had to warn him. After all, he was still unfamiliar with the terrain.
Even though they had intended to go with Luo Yunyang, they still had their own tasks to complete. They had also accepted a mission from a large family and had to kill a low-level Sky and Wind Yuan Crystal Beast to create the base of a flute for the youngest son of the family.
Although Luo Yunyang was a worthy companion, they still decided to abide by the rules and part ways with him.
“I hope that we will get the chance to meet again!” Luo Yunyang politely bade farewell to these people, whom he had grown slightly attached to.
“If we meet you once more in the 180,000-mile radius of the Sky and Wind Valley, then it will mean that we definitely have some sort of affinity, Brother Luo!” Liyuan chuckled.
“Who knows, we might really have such an affinity,” Luo Yunyang replied with a smile.
He then got off the Sky Crystal Camel and headed toward the Sky and Wind Valley while Liyuan and the rest stayed on the Sky Crystal Camel to go complete their mission.
“Luo Yunyang… I think I have heard of this name before. Is he one of the disciples of the Taixu Sect?” the stern man asked skeptically all of a sudden.
“Ha ha ha! How is that possible? A core disciple of the Taixu Sect would have a truly dignified status. Just look! Even the members of the Tian Family who are really respected in this area have nine crystal dragon carriages ploughing the land,” said Liyuan. “The first time I was in the Sky and Wind Valley as a hunter, I met a special envoy who had indeed been sent by the Taixu Sect,” he proclaimed proudly.
“All the elders and heads of the Tian Family were kneeling before him to welcome him. You can imagine the entire atmosphere back then!”
Tashan and the rest smiled. Their eyes lit up brightly as they asked about Liyuan’s experience with a disciple of the Taixu Sect.
“Halt! Entering the area ahead is prohibited.” Two men in silver robes, each of them riding a silver dragon horse, bellowed loudly.
Liyuan paused for a moment when he saw the two men in the silver robes. “Tian Grand Deacon, I am Liyuan, and this is my team. Our purpose for coming to the Sky and Wind Valley is to…”
“I don’t care what you are here for! Just get lost!” the person known as the Tian Grand Deacon said coldly. “I wasn’t bothered by minute people like you in the past. Now, I am telling you that the center of the Sky and Wind Valley has been sealed up in a radius of 100,000 miles. You should all make a detour!”
Making a detour meant that Liyuan and the rest would go back the entire way. However, the deadpan expression of the Tian Grand Deacon meant that they did not have a choice. “Thank you for letting us know about this,” Liyuan replied respectfully.
“Grand Deacon, instead of enjoying life in your palace, you are now here…”
“This isn’t something you should be probing your nose into. Get lost right now, or you will all be detained here forever,” the Tian Grand Deacon said as the aura coming from his body intensified multiple times.
Liyuan and the others did not tangle with the Tian Grand Deacon any longer. After one last glance, they hastily took control of their Crystal Yuan Camel and departed.
“Big Brother, we forgot to ask if they met that distinguished person,” the silver-robed man next to the Tian Grand Deacon said.
“How would they know? We had better continue searching. Coming to the Divine Sky and Wind Valley without going through the welcome platform is simply…”
“The Patriarch is anxiously waiting. Any slip-up and we might have to pay with our lives! Let’s continue our search!” the Tian Grand Deacon said urgently.
