Chapter 97: Bandits

At Bailey City's Earl’s castle hall, Earl Dumbledore summoned the White Scale City’s army leader–Ghoul-Garu.

"Your Excellency, are you still used to the life of the expedition?"

Garu: "Well, it's good. Your white bread is delicious."

Ghoul: "Ghoul is not happy. Ghoul is going to fight!"

Garu: "You cut the crap!"

Dumbledore wiped the sweat from his forehead as he looked at the two heads that had started arguing because of their different opinions.

Earl Dumbledore also felt helpless for this ogre having two minds but a single body. He interrupted the argument: "You two, don't worry, there will be bread and battle."

Then he ordered the waiter beside him. "Bring the food here!"

Ghoul: "Ghoul wants to drink."

"Wait, get some more wine."

While the waiter went down to prepare, Garu asked: "Your Excellency, why did you call us?"

The White Scale City’s army had been stationed outside Pele City for seven days. Except for the first time when they met the Earl at the arrival. This was the first time the Earl had summoned Ghoul-Garu.

The Earl didn't mince words when it came to the helper he hired and said directly: "Your Excellency, a group of bandits suddenly appeared south of the city. Taking advantage of the war they are harassing the villages in the territory. I deployed the army to obliterate them, but they escaped, and I don’t want those gangsters to escape again. They are powerful, cunning and cautious, and escaped repeatedly, so I would like to ask your commander to go out and wipe out these gangsters."

Ghoul: "No problem! It's all on us!"

"Hahaha, since it's your commander who is going to do the job, I have nothing to worry about."

...

After the meal, Babcocker–the head butler of the earl's mansion sent the orge away.

Bruce looked at the ogres who had gone out and was puzzled by the Earl's decision: "Lord Father, since you spent so much money to bring them here, why don’t you send them to the front?"

The earl looked at his heir: "Hehe, then do you think they should be sent to that front line?"

Bruce frowned and pondered.

The Earl sighed: "Over the years since the war began, the little nobles have either become vassals of the great nobles or perished. The feast of sharing the weak has ended, and the next is the battle between the great nobles."

"Now, we are facing the two powerful opponents. The veteran military aristocracy–Viscount Leo’s family, whose armies are mostly veterans of more than three years and not scared of death. Next is Count Lucas’s family, who started from ore mining, has well-equipped soldiers, and also have the most large-scale warfare equipment."

"And our Pele City, due to the long-term focus on the sea, has led to the weakness of the army on the land, So I’m afraid the frontal battle is probably no match for the two."

"The White Scale City's monster army can turn the tides on any battlefield, they can reverse the situation. Therefore, neither side dares to persecute us too much. Viscount Oliver and Viscount Willen sent a message that the pressure on the front line has been considerably less."

Bruce: "So, Lord Father kept them in the city to maintain a strategic deterrent and watch the two of them bite their dogs."

"Yes, as soon as the two of them fight, they will send murlocs, who are guarding the water, to sneak into the enemy's hinterland through the water system to monitor the enemy's army. In this way, Pele City will be able to enter the battle and retreat to defend."

Bruce was greatly convinced: "Sure enough, My father has great foresight."

The four-meter-tall ogre chief strutted along the streets of Pele City. The humans walking along the street scurried away from him like shielding themselves from the god of plague.

Ghoul grabbed a handful of roasted meat sold by the human vendor on the roadside and stuffed it in his mouth, the poor vendor hurriedly hid under the table in fright.

Fortunately, Ghoul-Garu was not interested in these humans, so he ate and took whatever he wanted out of the city gate.

Garu looked back at the deep city gate: "Ghoul, do you think this mission is weird?"

Ghoul gave a drunken hiccup: "I don't think there is any harm."

The two-headed ogre chief, Garu was most intelligent and responsible for casting spells, while Ghoul was close to the beasts and was responsible for the fighting. It was precisely due to his low intelligence that Ghoul had a beast-like instinct and could sense hostility from others.

Garu grunted: "With master around, they dare not pit us."

Ghoul exclaimed: "Yes, long live the master!"

...

In the afternoon, the human scout in light armour trotted into White Scale city's camp under the watchful gaze of the jackals and orges.

He felt the gaze of the monsters around him. Although he knew it was friendly troops, he still felt his scalp go numb, and he fastened his pace and walked towards the huge tent in the middle of the camp.

Without any interference, the scouts came into the tent, met the Commander of the White Scale army, and gave a military salute: "Your Excellency, we have found the information on those bandits."

Garu: "Very well, How many people are there? Where is the location?"

The scout gritted his teeth: "There are about 200 of them. They just ransacked Lulan Village at noon and are still drinking and having fun outside the village."

Ghoul-Garu stood up directly: "Lead the way!"

Ghoul waved the mace in his hand: "Ghoul is going to smash their heads!"

Of course, there was no need for a large army to go out to deal with some rogues. Ghoul-Garu only took three trolls, a small group of ogres, plus two-hundred-meter jackals to embark on the road of suppressing gangsters, led by the human scouts.

However, the human scout who walked in front of the team felt the atmosphere was weird.

Aren’t trolls, ogres, and wolves the targets of extermination?!

How come they turned around and became the official bandit fighting team?!

However, as long as it was for Pele City, what about the monsters!

...

Night.

On the forest clearing next to the Lulan Village, a bonfire was burning enthusiastically, and the Bloodtooth bandits who had a good harvest during the day were celebrating their feast.

The drunken and flushed bandit leader–Eric, jumped into a wine jar.

"Brothers! Follow Eric! Drinking and eating meat! It’s better than serving those noble lords! Don't you think so?"

The bandits raised their food and wine bowls in response to the leader's speech.

“The boss is right!"

"Yes, yes, yes! I've had enough of those noble lords! Now the eldest brother takes us to drink and eat meat so that the indispensable nobles can't catch us and they can only eat ashes that were left behind us! Hahaha!"

The robbers roared with laughter.

The lean, monkey-like middle-level bandit said, "If I had to say, we should break into Pele City together, kill the old man and let the eldest brother break the nobles too!"

"Hahaha" !"

This flattery caught Eric's heart, and he laughed out loud.

But he knew in his heart that this was impossible.

Bloodtooth was originally an adventurous group. Its leader, Eric, wanted to take advantage of the chaos of the war to get a fortune from Earl Dumbledore, so he took his brothers and recruited brave refugees to do business without spending money.

Eric always paid attention to the army in Pele City. He let the two middle-level bandit brothers on guard in turn. Therefore, the Bloodtooth Bandits could detect the danger in time, plus Eric’s 11th-grade high-ranking fighting strength, they were able to stand up every time.

But what he didn't know was that the bandit team that came this time was a bit different.
