Chapter 60: Chapter 59: A Rogue fights a Necromancer.

Pulling out the key, he attached the bag to his belt and said "Keep an eye on those zombies. I don't want to be surprised again if they suddenly spring up." Nicholas cautiously climbed ontop of the sideway's cage to the door. Looking down at the dwarf girls, he said "I'll get you out in a moment."

Opening the door, he held his hand and gently lifted the girls out one by one. Then he got down from the cage carefully and helped the girl down. The black haired girl said, "I'm Debra, and this is my sister Denise. Sincerely thank you for releasing us."

Nicholas asked "So why did that guy capture you?"

"We were with a small caravan headed towards Narak. Without warning we got hit by a wave of undead, and they captured us and hurled us into the cage. Several other necromancers seized the others in the caravan. The one that captured us said we were going to be sacrifices to feed the goddess."

"That sucks. Is sacrificing people starting to be a thing now? I was literally almost sacrificed myself." Frankie said.

Leaving the girls talking candidly amongst themselves, Nicholas picked up the map that the Necromancer had dropped. Taking a look at it and looking at the direction the Necromancer was looking at. He realized the necromancer had been holding the map upside down. No wonder he was confused.

Looking again the dwarf twins, he asked "So what did the two of you want to do?"

"Well we were headed to Narak to get a apprenticeship at a local blacksmith. But..." Debra looked at Denise and said "We would like to hang out with you guys till we get to a new city. If we head out on our own, I'm afraid we will run into more of those necro wackos."

Nicholas nodded thoughtfully and said "We are travelling towards a local Elf village, but it's the opposite direction of Narak. Before that however, I just received a mission from my god to investigate the temple this guy was looking for."

"Thats fine with us. Our chances of getting an apprenticeship were slim, and quite honestly it sounds like it will be fun to hang with you for a bit."

Nodding Nicholas examined the Red blade he had gotten from the Necromancer.

Finding the sheath for the blade on the Necromancer, he attached it to his belt. Frankie looked at him and said "Learning to use a sword now?"

"Maybe. This sword recognizes me as it's master."

"Oh? Then you better give me the next magical weapon you find."

Nicholas smirked and pulled up his status to check on what had changed.

Making the decision he would continue to go with the path he had decided upon, Nicholas added another point to strength. For his next one he decided to go with Charisma. He wanted to see next time he became Nicole, how charisma affected his alter ego. Thinking of Nicole, he put aside the skill point he had gained at the moment, for he had his eye on a skill that cost thirty points.

When he wasn't thinking about how to help Frankie (or how attractive she was), he had searched the system store for skills. He had found it buried in body altering ones, and while it was expensive, he would gain the ability to change his body, he could make Nicole be as he envisioned her, and be able to return to Nicholas when he wanted.

Naturally that was still several levels ahead of him. When he had discovered the skill, he had asked Jack if Frankie could use it, and Jack replied that it was unlikely as the curse would fight any attempt to change her gender back. Taking a look at Frankie, Nicholas once again felt that increasing draw to her.

Shaking his head, he directed his attention to the twins. Nicholas had a sudden thought and opened the messenger and asked "Jack, could you create a blacksmith class?"

A few seconds later Jack responded "That is doable. But any blacksmith is going to have a harder time. The only way to currently gain levels is to slay monsters. Are you perhaps thinking about changing classes? I would not recommend it to you."

"Not for me, these dwarven twins were looking for a apprenticeship. I owe you for helping me save Frankie, and these two look like good followers for you. Plus if they go with us I can help them level." Nicholas said.

"They both don't have a god at the moment, so I am able to contract with them. I didn't think about having my Users look for more Users for me. Thank you Nicholas for the suggestion. Before I create the class please speak with them to see if it is something they would even agree too.

"Alright." Walking over to the twins he said "I was just speaking with my god, if you want to be blacksmiths, my god Jack can help you achieve that. All you would have to do is sign a contract with him. If you are interested, he will contact you, if your not he wont."

Denise looked at him and said "Are you a priest?"

"No, Jack is just very communicative to his followers."

Debra looked at her sister and said "I'm unsure why a god would be interested in us. What do you think Denise?"

"Your god can instruct us to be blacksmiths? Is he some sort of blacksmithing god?"

Shaking his head, Nicholas said "No, to be correct Jack is a system. What he provides his followers is the ability to select classes which grant them knowledge and powers. He is willing to create a blacksmith class for you if you decide to join."

Denise thought for a moment and asked "What other classes does he have?"

"You don't want to be a blacksmith?"

"Not really, I was only going for Debra. What I really want is to be an adventurer. I was only going to be a blacksmith to gather some gold before going." Denise said.

Debra cut in to the conversation and said "I truly wanted to be a blacksmith, but honestly I also wanted to go adventuring with my sister as well."

"Well, you can be a blacksmith; the only issue is that you won't be able to level up your class unless you kill monsters. But if your sister selects a different class, she can assist you with that."

"Cool. You want to do this sis?" Denise looked at Debra.

"Yeah. Tell your god we are interested."
