Sitting before a screen, there were many windows and Ying Xiong would occasionally hit a key to change the scene.
There were five to six people in black suits in the video and they travelled lightly. Hence, the scene only lasted two to three seconds before they disappeared, and Ying Xiong could only follow them by retrieving the other surveillance cameras.
“Can we make our move now?” The leader of the mercenaries, Munns, said. He had a robust figure and wore a bulletproof vest with a sinister smile.
“Relax, let them get what they want before striking them with a blow. It will only be interesting this way.” Ying Xiong took a sip of the wine and smiled in excitement.
“They seem to have noticed something amiss.” Munns was briefly stunned since there was someone looking at the surveillance camera in one of the windows.
“Fire Beacon is pretty strong, and they’re smarter than I’ve imagined.” Ying Xiong shook his head when he saw one of the windows turn black and continued, “They’re too naughty. Forget it, teach them a lesson now.”
Munns licked his lips and grinned before he left the surveillance room.
“Captain, this seems to be a trap!” Hei Jin said before he continued, “They’ve already discovered us, and they’re probably waiting for us to take the bait by not letting anyone obstruct us.”
“Do you have a better alternative, then?” Yuan Lan asked in a low voice as she squatted in a corner.
“No!” Hei Jin helplessly replied.
“Then, are we going to retreat?” Yuan Lan questioned again.
“No!” Hei Jin sighed.
“We can only press forth right now. Regardless if a mountain of blades or an ocean of flames awaits us, we can’t cower back, because a few seconds of delay might result in the death of many.” Yuan Lan locked her brows together and said in a sincere tone, “Members of Fire Beacon have never been afraid of death.”
After that, she turned to Liu Jianwei. “You’re not a member of Fire Beacon yet, so you can leave now if you’re afraid.”
“What are you treating me as? Since we’re together in this, that means that we’re all comrades. I’m not someone who would abandon my comrades.” Liu Jianwei snapped as he looked at Yuan Lan.
Crouching on the ground, Yuan Lan nodded her head. “We’ve destroyed their surveillance camera, so we will wait for them to act. Hei Jin and I will be responsible for dragging them down, while you and Tang Shi will be responsible for finding the cure.”
Just when Liu Jianwei was about to request that he deal with the enemies, he suddenly heard a commotion coming from the hallway. It was too late to negotiate anymore.
In the blink of an eye, several mercenaries charged in with firearms. Those standing at the front immediately pressed the trigger without saying a word and bullets flew, hitting the wall, immediately creating deep bullet holes.
“Suppress them!” Yuan Lan said to Hei Jin.
Hei Jin immediately unloaded the Negev 5.56mm light machine gun and started to fire, instantly striking three people down.
Based on the rhythm from the machine gun, anyone could tell that Hei Jin was terrifying.
“Go!” Yuan Lan ordered as she glanced at the metal door on the right.
Before Liu Jianwei could react, Tang Shi immediately shot out. Gnashing his teeth, Liu Jianwei inwardly sighed since he could only follow behind Tang Shi.
Under his accuracy, Hei Jin suppressed the mercenaries to the point that they didn't even dare to raise their heads.
When Yuan Lan heard that the other party had stopped firing, she suddenly found something amiss and hollered, “Leave immediately!”
One of the mercenaries charged out with a Panzerfaust rocket launcher. After a huge explosion, the wall that Hei Jin and Yuan Lan were hiding behind was instantly reduced to rubble.
As the mercenaries cheered, they cautiously chased after them. They did not find any corpses beneath the wall. Hei Jin, and Yuan Lan had both escaped.
Hiding in a small office, Hei Jin cursed, “Those bunch of assholes are truly ruthless with such ferocious firepower. It’s no wonder why the Dragon Group has suffered so many casualties.”
Yuan Lan noticed that Hei Jin was bleeding from his shank; it was caused by the shrapnel from the rocket launcher. She immediately took out some bandages from her pocket and started wrapping for Hei Jin.
“I never expected that the Ying Family Medicine Group would be so insane to have so many mercenaries in their building.” Yuan Lan sighed.
“He has a backing. If we find the cure, we will be able to prove that Ying Xiong is behind this virus, and we can arrest him officially.” Hei Jin replied.
Nodding her head, Yuan Lan knew that their actions were in the dark before they found any evidence. Putting it in a nutshell, they’re no different from mercenaries right now; their actions would not be acknowledged.
Without a search order, the other party had the qualification to attack since they had intruded on someone’s territory.
Before they find any evidence that points towards Ying Xiong behind this matter, even if they die, it’s a futile death.
However, if they could find evidence that Ying Xiong has colluded with Tosca Pharmaceutical Conglomerate, Ying Xiong would be severely punished.
But judging from the current situation, it wasn’t beneficial to them since they had fallen for the enemy’s trap, just like how the Dragon Group had.
Liu Jianwei and Tang Shi had already gone ahead. According to the information provided by the Dragon Group, there’s a high possibility that the cure was hidden in one of these rooms.
“Watch out!” Tang Shi was pulled back by Liu Jianwei just when she was about to charge out and a bullet practically flew past Tang Shi’s nose.

“Thank you!” Tang Shi took a deep breath and charged out before she started firing in retaliation.
After a series of gunshots, Tang Shi sighed, “It’s fine now!”
Liu Jianwei also inwardly sighed. In terms of hand-to-hand combat, it’s not a problem for him to deal with twenty or thirty. But there was nothing he could do facing bullets.
Humans were still made of blood and flesh. If a bullet hits their vital spot, they would die regardless of how formidable they were.
On the contrary, Tang Shi might not be proficient in hand-to-hand combat, but she had brilliant control over her firearm. When she was pressing on the trigger, her calm confidence gave Liu Jianwei a feel of a real battlefield.
All his fights in the past were nothing compared to this moment.
At the same time, Liu Jianwei started to feel his blood boiling since he finally discovered excitement. He also realised that he had been living in vain in the past.
Liu Jianwei wasn’t familiar with firearms, but he took out a pistol that was given to him before the mission and he got into a firing position that Hei Jin had previously taught him.
They moved over to the corner of a pillar, and mercenaries were also hiding up ahead to ambush them.
“The thing that we’re looking for must be in that room!” Tang Shi analysed as she continued, “With such a huge amount of firepower, they must be protecting something.”
“You wait here. I’ll go and investigate it.” Liu Jianwei grinned.
Before Tang Shi could even respond, Liu Jianwei shot out and the other party had been observing him. When they saw Liu Jianwei charging over like a leopard, they swiftly reacted. But before they could fire, the mercenary standing at the front ate a bullet in his brain.
It might not have been long since Tang Shi had transferred from being an intern, but she was well trained, and her reaction speed was much faster than the other party and she used her accurate shots to cover Liu Jianwei.
On the other hand, Liu Jianwei revealed his outstanding foundation in martial arts as he was practically flying through the wall and pounced at the other party.
In just a few breaths, he was already before the mercenaries and fired at close range.
His movements were smooth and ferocious. After getting into close range, Liu Jianwei was akin to a tiger who had entered a flock of sheep. In just a few seconds, none of them could remain standing.
Taking a deep breath, Tang Shi came over as well. Liu Jianwei might not be proficient in firearms, but there’s no need for marksmanship at such a close distance.
“So guns can be used in this manner!” Tang Shi bitterly smiled. Generally speaking, guns should be long-range weapons, but Liu Jianwei’s style of combat had practically turned guns into close-range weapons.
However, the danger still wasn’t resolved and Tang Shi continued to press on the trigger. Meanwhile, Liu Jianwei was like a ferocious tiger and started his massacre.
At this moment, Tang Shi gained a new understanding of Liu Jianwei. She had always felt that Hei Jin was the most ferocious man amongst everyone she knew, but compared to Liu Jianwei, Hei Jin was evidently much weaker.
But this was also an issue in their personalities. Liu Jianwei was courageous, while Hei Jin was meticulous in his thoughts.
But that didn’t mean that Liu Jianwei was blinding charging in. He made use of his ample close-range combat experience to dodge all sorts of dangers.
As a person like Liu Jianwei with the potential of becoming the King of Fighters, it’s natural that he could dodge the danger. The sense of danger was something that had to be trained over the years, and Liu Jianwei possessed this talent.
However, it was despairing since the mercenaries were endless. They were practically like ants gushing out of their nest.
As mercenaries who have survived numerous battlefields, they knew that they had to gnash their teeth and tough it through this moment.
Hei Jin and Yuan Lan were still in battle since they had to obstruct the mercenaries from sandwiching Tang Shi and Liu Jianwei.
After dealing with a bunch of people, Liu Jianwei and Tang Shi finally barged into a room.
Judging from the room, this should be a laboratory with all sorts of glass apparatuses on the desk. A silver-haired foreigner looked at the two intruders in shock before he exclaimed in English, “Who are you guys?”
Liu Jianwei wasn’t in the mood to chat with him so he threw a punch over in that foreigner’s face, smashing that foreigner’s spectacles in the process.
“Where’s the cure for the Seven Mountain Virus?” Tang Shi asked in English.
“Don’t hurt me!” The silver-haired foreigner pointed to a direction nearby with his hand trembling, “In that safe!”
Tang Shi and Liu Jianwei exchanged a glance. Although they had no idea if what the foreigner said was true, they still dragged him to the safe as time waited for no one. It wouldn’t take long till reinforcement comes.
“Open it!” Tang Shi pointed her pistol at the foreigner’s head.
Letting out a sigh, the foreigner started to unlock the safe. When the safe was unlocked, there was a locked silver case.
Thereafter, the foreigner went on to unlock the case, revealing two 100ml medicine bottles.
Liu Jianwei swiftly closed the case and gave a kick to that foreigner.
As the foreigner yelled out in pain, he slammed against a nearby table, destroying all the glass apparatuses.
