Kai still did not know what 50 Mission Credits meant.
He had nothing to compare their values other than his random world’s experience. For all he cared, this simple question would cost him a full Side Missions reward. But Kai had no choice. It was either this or assigning the Attribute Points based on his judgment.
Kai was a killer, a fighter, and he was more than that too. Yet, he didn’t trust himself with this. It was a new life, a new place, and a new power. One wrong step and he might not be able to retrace the path.
“I accept,” Kai said, the words clutching at his teeth, trying hard to not come out.

50 Mission Credits deducted
Analyzing Contestant’s Stats…
Calculating future growth…
Analyzation Complete
Result: Agility +2

What?! Kai passed a disgusted look at the result. This wasn’t even in my mind.
Kai had almost made up his mind to assign the two points to his Intelligence. He severely needed a boost in his MP. With so many Skills and Items, it would be foolish to not have enough MP to use them.
The second best option was to assign them to Breath. It was his lowest Attribute. Kai had become wary about this Attribute after seeing Desmond’s Skill and using Explosive Kunai. It wasn’t as important to Kai as the Intelligence, but it still mattered to him more than the others.
Agility? It’s the highest among them, Kai reflected, confused over the Chaos’ Analyzation. Why? Why has it recommended such a result?
Kai felt wronged. He had lost his precious 50 Mission Credits, and now the buyer’s remorse hit his jaw squarely, knocking him out. He must go with it, Kai knew. Systems don’t play favorites. So there must be some reasoning behind it.
Sigh! Kai let go of doubts, accepting Chaos’ recommendation. “Assign both the Attribute Points to Agility, and display my updated Stats,” he said. The stony-gray notification vanished then. Soon, a long list appeared in front of him. A summarization of his deeds in the random world, and the results of the risks he had taken.

Not enough! Kai wasn’t satisfied. This mission had given him a tremendous boost, but his heart ached for the lost Title of Murderer. It had to be completed in a single random world. It’s gone, though, Kai bitterly thought. I will get it next time. I will.
Kai also felt ashamed. He was a killer, and fighting against a group was Kai’s specialty. Yet, he couldn’t even kill 10 Contestants in 48 hrs. Tch, he tsked and put the guilt in the back of his mind.
Kai looked back at his Stats, reigning his thoughts. He noticed most of the Stats had a bulge on them as if they were not 2-D but 3 dimensional. Titles, Abilities, Glitch, and Items all had this bulge. It took Kai little time to guess why. These Stats had sub-Stats of their own.
Let’s see… Kai concentrated on the only Blood Essence available in his Glitch. A new window popped up, hovering over the real Stats.
[
Blood Essence: Blue-tailed Boa Constrictor (rare non-magical beast)
Grade: E
Abilities: Elementary Snake Instinct (Proficiency: 13%), Elementary Snake Language (Proficiency: 5%)
Skills: Light Neurotoxin (Grade: E-), Heat Sense (Grade: E)

Handy, Kai thought, dismissing the new window.
Then his gaze fell on the Items available to him. Kai nodded to himself, seeing the Beast’s corpse mentioned there. All magical creatures have Stats, Arlen had told Kai after crossing the Hidden Moor Hills. When they die, their Status becomes Null. But they still have Stats technically.
Kai was glad. There were many things he needed to do using the magical beast’s corpse. It would have been troublesome for him otherwise. When he was done looking at his Stats, Kai dismissed the Status window.

If there isn’t anything else, are you ready to leave the White Room?

The notification appeared. From the wording, it almost looked to Kai as if the System was incredibly polite. But Kai wouldn’t make that mistake. He, of all, knew how simple it was to twist the words and tones.
No, Kai told himself. I can’t go back yet. I still need to be sure if He is here or not.
“Actually… there’s something,” Kai whispered, fearing, anticipating Chaos’ reply. “I want to know if there’s a particular man in the Primordial Tower or not.”
It was meticulous. Kai did not directly ask a question. Of questions, Kai had no shortage. But he’d rather rip other Contestants off than pay Mission Credits to the System. And this… This thing he had to know.

A bitter taste lingered in Kai’s mouth after reading the blunt reply. I can’t afford it doesn’t mean that I won’t be able to, Kai thought, rubbing his molars on each other. But he didn’t ask the question. Why? He’d rather not think about it right now.
“I am ready,” Kai finally said, closing his eyes and burying the uneasy feeling inside his heart. “Send me away.”

Sending Contestant, Kai Stormborn, to the 1st Floor of the Primordial Tower
Good Luck

Kai’s eyes were closed, so he didn’t see the last notification. But it still hovered in the white emptiness.
It hovered, patiently. It hovered for a long time.
AN:
Dear Readers, in all Volumes, each Random World will be followed by a brief visit to the Primordial Tower (preferably of 10 to 15 chapters). It is to give a depth to the story, otherwise, it would become like an RPG game with no substantial storyline. With the rise of Mission's grade, the time spent within the Random Worlds will increase (i.e. the number of chapters spent in the Random World will keep on increasing, but the chapters covering the Primordial Tower will be about 10-15/volume throughout the Novel).
As the Initiation Mission covered a time period of a Canon Character, I had to include many Original Side Characters to make the story interesting, and to set the plot-line in Volume 1. From the next mission onwards, the number of Original characters will be limited and more emphasis will be given to MC's interaction with main-storyline characters
