Chapter 86: Tsukasa: My technique isn't a secret

After they walked outside of the family restaurant, Ayase guided them to her house based on Tsukasa's request. The three walked toward the edge of the city, on the quiet street where there were still many trees around the area.

"It's over there," Ayase said hesitantly.

"Why do you seem like you haven't been in your house for a while?" Kanata asked subconsciously.

Ayase was troubled, but she said, "I... my family has lost the house and land after my father lost to that bastard..." Her voice was full of hatred when she mentioned Kuraudo, and from her expression alone, she couldn't wait to kill him if she could.

"Sorry for asking a rude question," Kanata apologized.

"It-It's alright. It isn't Totokubara-san's fault!" Ayase quickly said.

However, Kanata and Tsukasa also understood why Ayase had such a big hatred toward Kuraudo since not only her father hadn't been able to wake up until now.

Ayase also lost her house, which was a place where she lived with her family from childhood till now.

It would be weird if Ayase didn't have such hatred toward Kuraudo.

Kanata then looked at Tsukasa and thought about changing the topic of conversation. "By the way, Tsukasa. How did those three small fries fall before they reach you?"

Hearing this question, Ayase also looked at Tsukasa curiously.

When Ayase looked at them, they also looked at her.

"Ah! I'm sorry! I'll close my ears! I swear I won't say anything that happened in the family restaurant, including how you date each other!" Ayase quickly closed her ears with both of her hands.

"...." Tsukasa and Kanata.

Tsukasa looked at Ayase while he could tell that she wasn't the type of someone that might blabber her mouth. He needed to make sure that she would say nothing of what had happened in the family restaurant, especially when the fact he went on a date with Kanata.

"No, it's alright. It isn't like a secret. You will know how I did that if you watched the video of the fight." Tsukasa coughed and said, "Have you heard of iaido?"

"Iaido?" 2x

Two women looked at Tsukasa strangely.

"You mean, a sword drawing technique, right?" Kanata looked at Tsukasa weirdly and asked, "Isn't it Touka-chan's specialty?" Of course, she knew about iaido since it was a sword technique that was often used by Touka, who was her childhood friend and her dormmate.

"But what does this iaido have to do with how you made that three fall down to the ground?" Ayase was also confused.

"Yeah, that's iaido, but mine is iaiken. This is the bare first version of iaido," Tsukasa said.

"Iaiken?!" Ayase and Kanata were dumbfounded.

"Like how iaido uses scabbard to increase the speed and strength of the slash by applying the linear motion and force applied on the drawing sword. My technique is called iaiken since it uses the pocket for a similar mechanism," Tsukasa said.

"..." Ayase and Kanata.

"It's idiotic, right?" Tsukasa laughed and said, "I just made it for fun before, but I didn't expect the result of the technique to be quite powerful."

"....." Ayase and Kanata became even speechless since this guy could create such an idiotic technique just because it was fun. However, without a doubt, they must admit that it was powerful, especially when it had a speed that couldn't be caught by eyes.

It was fast, sudden, unexpected, and quiet.

However, Ayase and Kanata must admit that his laugh was so dreamy.

"While it is powerful, compared to a normal much, it is more troublesome, so I rarely use it," Tsukasa said.

They understood how the three goons fell at the same time, but Ayase had one more question.

"How about your sword technique? How were you able to reach that bastard even if you were out of the range?" Ayase asked subconsciously since she was also a swordsman, so she was curious, but then she realized her mistake again, and she quickly apologized. "I-I'm sorry for the rude question!" She knew how important a sword technique for a swordsman was, and there was no way for one to teach another unless that person was their child, disciple, or lover.

Suddenly Ayase's face turned bright red when she thought about the possibility of being a lover with Tsukasa, but when she looked at Kanata, she lowered her head.

"It isn't that secret since you'll find out how I do it if you see it one more time," Tsukasa said and summoned his Device into the shape of katana. While it might be forbidden to summon one's Device in public, how could he care about it?

They were also in a quiet place, so there were no people who would report them.

"Watch it one more time. Can you see it?" Tsukasa said and used his sword technique again but in a slower version.

Kanata and Ayase watched how Tsukasa swung his sword and realized what had happened.

"When you swing your sword, are you loosening your grip to let your hand slip from the guard to the pommel, thereby increasing the reach of the strike?" Ayase asked and was instantly amazed by this technique, but at the same time, she also realized how hard it was to perform this technique.

"That's right." Tsukasa nodded and said, "It might be simple, but you need to train your grip and accuracy since it is harder than you look."

Kanata didn't really understand, but hearing Tsukasa's explanation, she understood why Ayase showed such a surprised expression, which made her even proud of her man. She hugged his arm generously, pressing his arm on her two masses.

Tsukasa only smiled and didn't move his hand.

However, Ayase felt bitter and let out a sigh.

Tsukasa had many sword techniques, but he was too lazy to name them. If he had to name them, then it would be like what he had mentioned in the past. He named his sword technique "formless" since he could change any of his styles based on how his opponent was going to do, whether it was using right, left, or both hands at the same time with many different strange angles.

While they talked to each other, they arrived at Ayase's house, and Kanata subconsciously frowned when she saw the house's condition since it wasn't much different from an abandoned samurai mansion.

The tiles were out of place, the wood supporting the gate rotted and collapsed. The area around was littered with cigarette butts, snack boxes, poly-bags, etc. The white walls now had tasteless and colorful graffiti.

As they walked upstairs, they saw a group of delinquent students smoking cigarettes with beer of cans around them, playing games together on their datapads to calm themselves from the horror they felt before.

Everything was going well until they heard this familiar voice.

"Excuse me, can you call Kuraudo for me?" Tsukasa asked.

"...."

They turned their heads and didn't expect to meet the devil that gave them a nightmare today.
