On the second morning, Merlin in his pajamas finishes washing up and walks to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for the children.
The very first to wake up was Hermione, she had a good life routine; she greeted Merlin, drank a glass of milk, and took Crookshanks out for a morning jog.
But Hell's Kitchen wasn't all that safe, so Merlin sent Goose to protect Hermione. A Flerken and a young wizard would probably not face any danger in Hell's Kitchen.
The second one to wake up was Harry.
The sensitive young man probably didn't have much sleep due to the change in the room. He yawns and heads to the kitchen to help Merlin prepare breakfast.
Merlin saw him cutting the bread with experience and he couldn't help but ask:
"Do you always prepare food at home?"
"Of course, Mr. Merlin."
Harry turns and smiles, saying:
"I prepare the breakfast, lunch, and dinner for my uncle's family."
"Oh, they treat you as a servant."
Merlin smiles, he lights a cigar, leans against the edge of the kitchen counter, and began conversing with Harry about life trivia.
20 minutes later, the lazy and yawning Erik and Ron practically woke up at the same time. Merlin saw the black circles under their eyes and knew that the two had hardly had any sleep over the night.
"Ron, did you have a good sleep last night?"
Merlin asks so on purpose.
Ron scratched his head listlessly and says weakly:
"I really wanted to sleep, but electric games are way too exciting. I felt like I played for just a short moment, but it was already dawn before I realized it."
"Merlin, Ron's a true genius!"
Erik who was brushing his teeth in the bathroom shouts inarticulately:
"He'd never played games before, yet he's become an expert like me after just four hours! We joined hands and went amok!"
"Erik's too flattering."
Ron was slightly proud as he said:
"I'm just slightly gifted."
As he spoke, he instinctively waves his finger, and the toothbrush and water cup were delivered into his hand.
And then, Harry who was preparing vegetable salad exclaims at him in a low tone:
"Ron!"
"Mmm?"
The semi-conscious Ron looked at the cup and toothbrush in his hand and was surprised. He turns to see that Erik was washing his face and didn't see this, thus making him relieved.
A descendant of a pure-blood wizard family like Ron had been using magic ever since he was born, there's sure to be different issues when asked to live as a normal human.
Merlin was prepared for this, but Erik, to be frank, this child had seen Merlins disappear out of thin air, and he had his own secrets; even if he knew that his newfound friend Ron knew magic, he probably wouldn't be as surprised as to go around telling everyone about it.
"Alright, wash up quickly. After we finish breakfast, I'll take you around Manhattan, then we'll go to your Aunt May's place for lunch."
Soon, the children finish their breakfast, and Hermione returns from her morning jog, the family gets in the nanny van after preparing and begins heading towards the most bustling area of Manhattan.
And about 30 minutes after the family left, a strange guest visits Merlin's house.
A faint flush of light appears in Merlin's yard, which grabbed the attention of the orange cat Goose who was playing with the bone. It gets out and storms out from its nest, secretly looking downwards from the window on the second floor.
Then Goose discovered something incredible.
A woman in a black robe, a green hood and wore a black pointed hat was walking out from a strange light blue energy whirlpool while holding a small trolley case.
She looked to be an elderly woman in her 50s, she was no longer young, and had wrinkles across her face; she wore a pair of gold-framed glasses, she had a wiped-clean silver button that was glowing faintly under the sunlight buckled on the neckline of her green hood.
The pointed wizard's hat on her head was deflected backward, making her look like a witch straight from fairy tales.
She was Professor Minerva McGonagall, vice-principal of Hogwarts.
Right now, this witch that was well-versed in magic was cautiously walking across the yard of Merlin's house.
This official England witch contemplated the environment of Merlin's house and mumbles to herself:
"These muggles sure love being clean."
As she spoke, Professor McGonagall takes out her wand from her waist and softly chants at the door before her:
"Alohomora!"
Following a very accurate mana flow, the locked glass door opens.
This scene caused the orange cat Goose, who was secretly peeking at all this from upstairs, to let out a confused expression.
It had seen Merlin cast magic before, but the magic that Merlin picked was more offensive, and Merlin rarely used commonly used spells like Alohomora.
This attracted Goose's attention.
Although it had disguised itself as an orange cat, it was still a Flerken that was curious about the world in nature that came from space. Goose had rarely seen such scenes in its travels with the Kree Mar-Vell.
This was why Goose was willing to stay in Merlin's house, it was interested in the strange energy Merlin had used.
Goose secretly and silently crawls down the stairs, its movements alert Crookshanks, who was sleeping by the staircase. The ugly cat Crookshanks looked at Goose fearfully, Goose stares at Crookshanks with a warning gaze which caused the latter to flinch.
Acting very cowardly.
Goose flicks its tail and Crookshanks understood what Goose meant, it silently moved and followed behind Goose down to the first floor.
And Professor McGonagall, who had entered Merlin's room, did not notice these two cats.
She didn't come to North America from England for travel, she was here on a mission by Principal Dumbledore.
After knowing that Mr. Arthur had entrusted Harry to a demon walker, Dumbledore had been concerned as this elderly wizard had not just once seen the troubles brought by demonic powers.
He knows that Harry can effectively evade the Ministry of Magic's hostility after Merlin brought him to America, but he was also worried that Merlin's appearance would have an impact on Harry's life.
Thus he entrusted Professor McGonagall to come to America and secretly protect Harry and the other three young wizards.
Professor McGonagall was a true witch, she was powerful and knowledgeable in the arts of magic, plus, she was a rare Animagus; she who excelled in animagus could perfectly disguise herself as a harmless kitten, and theoretically her protection would not be discovered by a first-time learner like Merlin.

"Swish"
Professor McGonagall waves her wand, and a ray of light sweeps across Merlin's room; moments later, the serious professor McGonagall nods with satisfaction.
"Mmm, no demon-related items in the house, no dispersed demon powers either. Looks like Merlin has a good grasp of his powers, yet how reckless of Arthur."
The witch complains so, she looks around, opens the box she brought along, and takes out a few potions from it.
This potion can effectively isolate the detection of mana, Professor McGonagall plans to process Merlin's room with this potion.
But as she turned around, she saw two cats squatting behind her.
"Oh, Crookshanks."
Professor McGonagall was a professor of Hogwarts so she knew Hermione's pet, after calling out Crookshank's name, the fluffy yet ugly cat meowed pitifully and miserably at her.
But Professor McGonagall didn't know the other orange cat.
And as a powerful witch, she could instinctively sense an indescribable threat coming from Goose. Like she had encountered a hidden powerful magic creature.
"What are you?"
Professor McGonagall points her wand at Goose and asks so.
Then, Goose opens its mouth and two crimson red tentacles shoot out, after accurately grabbing on Professor McGonagall's wand, it snatches the wand and swallows it into its belly.
"Meow"
Goose licked its lips, seemingly savoring the taste of magic, it meows at Professor McGonagall with unknown intent.
The witch was terrified.
Although she was not an expert in Fantastic Beasts, she had read a lot on them as a witch; but there was no introduction of a fantastic beast like Goose in any of those magic books.
Especially the two strange tentacles Goose threw out as it opened its mouth, it even gave Professor McGonagall a sense of threat.
She could feel that the cat's belly was connected to a terrifying black hole, her connection with her wand had been permanently cut off just now.
"Disapparation!"
Professor McGonagall chants without a wand, her figure quickly disappears from Merlin's house in the distortion. When she reappeared, she was in a park several blocks away from Merlin's house.
A mature wizard would not battle an unknown foe without making full preparations. She had lost her wand, and it was unwise of her to stay in front of that odd creature.
Professor McGonagall brushes her heart, she had not felt such panic in a long time; she calms herself and looks around, muggles were wandering in this park. To avoid trouble, Professor McGonagall silently chanted a spell and her figure quickly transforms and a twisting light curtain was covering her.
Professor McGonagall steps forward, her slender body quickly shrinks and becomes a small kitten with black and white patterns and an eye-like pattern next to the cat's eyes.
She looks around cautiously and licks her paw. She prepares to use this disguise to head to Merlin's house to check out what that odd creature was.
And as she turned around, a familiar cat meow resounds behind her.
Professor McGonagall turns around like a real cat and was horrified to see the fat-looking orange cat Goose storming out from a small and narrow energy tunnel.
There was an excited expression on the odd cat's face, it pounced on the unsuspecting Professor McGonagall and forces the black and white cat onto the ground.
Goose smelled the small kitten in front of it with its nose, it could feel that strange woman from just now was the cat in front of it right now, but why did she turn into a cat?
Goose expresses its confusion.
Professor McGonagall couldn't imagine that the orange cat Goose had teleportation abilities, she tried to break free of Goose's shackles, but a Flerken's strength cannot be withstood by a mere witch.
Professor McGonagall let out a miserable cat noise as she attempted to return back into human form.
But Goose abruptly slaps on the body of the cat McGonagall had transformed into, the purple glow seeped into Professor McGonagall's body and permanently locks Professor McGonagall's animagus spell like a strange lock.
Animagus was forcefully stopped, she can't revert back to human form!
Hell!
"Meow! Meow!"
Professor McGonagall lets out a horrified scream.
There was a fatal flaw to the ultimate transformation spell Animagus, and that is one cannot cast spells under animal form.
She was now forcefully locked in animal form by Goose using its Flerken powers, this means that this powerful witch that could've battled Goose had been stripped of all her magic.
She had really become a helpless black and white cat!
Goose did not care for the odd cat's struggling, it bit on the back of Professor McGonagall's neck like a mother cat biting its kittens, drags her back into the open energy tunnel, and returns to Merlin's house a few seconds later.
Crookshanks who just lied there saw Goose capture and bring back Professor McGonagall, this smart cat made a desperate gesture and covered its eyes with its paws.
It's over, it's all over.
Later that night, Merlin who had finished dinner at his cousin's place returned home with the children carrying bags big and small.
Ron, Erik, and Harry had become new best friends, they talked about the small concert they saw in Times Square with excitement, then they hooked up to go to Erik's room for games.
Hermione and Ginny returned to their room while chattering, they were going to try out the make-up they bought today.
Merlin as usual took out the cat food and prepared dinner for Crookshanks and Goose, but as he walked to the cat nests on the second floor, he notices a black and white cat was lying on the ground next to Goose's nest.
The cat had a strange expression, it looked like there was no meaning to its life.
"Where'd this cat come from?"
Merlin pats on Goose's head and asks, Goose flicks its tail seemingly not wanting to answer.
Merlin did not keep asking, he was no match for Goose anyways; big boss Goose can do whatever it wants as long as it doesn't tear down the house.
But since there's an extra cat now, then there's the need to prepare another set of dinner; a few minutes later, Professor McGonagall saw the nasty demon walker place a bowl in front of her, poured some cat food into it, and even boldly patted on her head.
This made Madam McGonagall want to go crazy.
But she dared not to pounce up and scratch Merlin's face with Goose by her side, she could only lower her head with discontent and begin eating the cat food.
Mmm.
Tastes surprisingly good.
