The young prodigy from the Fiasr race hadn't expected Shane, whose mana fluctuations had many impurities, to have such a terrific change in his demeanor.
Shane was frightening and the Fiasr race's prodigy wanted to do nothing but retreat, however, that was not possible as he had already provoked the young prodigy from the unknown race.
The Fiasr race's prodigies had been told to remain calm and only create conflicts with those they were confident to defeat, showing their great combat prowess and capabilities.
Yet, Shane's nonchalant behavior had annoyed the youth, thus he'd cursed him and his mother.
However, now there was no turning back because if he did, it would mean he'd accepted that his opponent was stronger before they had even initiated a fight.
It would mean he was a coward and it was the last thing he wanted to be known as.
As such, a sword manifested in his hand, and the prodigy from the Fiasr race enveloped it with his fire affinity as he readied himself to rush towards Shane.
However, exactly at that moment, the killing intent radiating from Shane intensified as a gigantic eye seemed to look at the youth through his chest.
It was Umbra, who had heard everything before feeling his master's emotions.
Thus, he decided to take revenge for his master, which he did by releasing the killing-intent he had established during the four Overlord beast tide!
Umbra intimidated his master's opponent with one of his eyes visible through Shane's chest and the killing intent that enveloped the youth from the Fiasr race, who was called Nakz.
He had a mana purity of 93%, but that was still not enough to endure the bloodlust-killing-intent and pressure radiating from Shane who had released a tremendous amount of mana, in addition to Umbra's intervention.
Nakz hesitated, and everyone else around had subconsciously taken a step back, as their gazes were locked between the silent battle that had ensued between the unknown youth and Nakz, whom everyone had labeled to be too confident and arrogant!
A moment later, Shane, who had remained silent after he had asked Nakz a question, repeated his earlier question again.
"I asked WHAT did you say??" The mana seeping through Shane's body intensified and it was as if small compressed drops of mana were dripping from him. However, in reality it was only a thin fog of annexed mana he was releasing.
If Shane had had an affinity, the kind of ability he was showcasing right now could be used for a wide variety of attacks, but unfortunately, he didn't have an affinity, let alone an occupation.
Nevertheless, everyone who came in touch with the mana fog felt that Shane was barely holding himself back from ripping the youth apart in pieces.
Fortunately, in the nick of time, before Nakz could foolishly repeat what he had said earlier, Aisha, Frer, and Miriam had appeared next to Shane, trying to calm him down.
In the beginning, Miriam had failed to understand the reason behind Shane's angry outburst, but after recalling the words of the young Fiasr race prodigy, she was able to put two and two together.
As such, she instinctively rushed towards Shane, similar to Aisha and Frer.
Not only was it her responsibility as the leader of their group to take care of every member, but she could tell that she had to restrain Shane who was about to wreak havoc.
Both Aisha and Frer thought the same, and it was fortunate that all three of them had rushed together at once because Umbra would have emerged in the large hall's entrance if the youth would have foolishly repeated his words one by one.
The three girls were about to drag Shane back, only to notice that his feet were almost rooted in the ground. He was overcome with fury and was glaring at the youth with killing intent.
It was only when they appeared right in front of his face, that he was distracted, which caused Shane to shake his head.
However, the girls knew that it was far from over, and tried to force him to look anywhere else but in the direction of Nakz.
As such, three pairs of hands were holding his head, trying to distract him by all means, speaking all at once and drowning each others' voices in confusion.
This looked ridiculous, and it was only when Shane regained his composure completely, that he noticed what the three girls were doing.
"Eh...sorry, but I don't want to be kissed forcefully…"
It was somewhat embarrassing to notice them standing so close to him and he also realised that the entire crowd's attention was on them.
Thus, Shane blurted the first thing that came into his mind without thinking how it would sound when he said it out loud.
When the three girls heard Shane, their cheeks turned red and they stepped back, only to hear him thanking them.

"I went out of control...thanks for preventing the situation from escalating any further."
After that, he walked out of the loose circle formed by the three groups that were about to fight earlier.
Yet, instead of walking back to his group, Shane continued to walk his way through them, demonstrating that he was not to be taken lightly.
Miriam, Aisha, and Frer were able to regain their senses when they saw this, and after a deep sigh, they followed him.
The others continued to walk around while the groups of the Luiar, Jasdron and Fiasr race were left alone.
"I don't feel like fighting anymore…"
"Me neither, what's this race's name? I sensed a rare fire affinity from that one girl, and a holy aura enveloping the other two girls!!"
"Let's go…"
Initially, each of the three races had assumed themselves to be the strongest among the races that would attend the basic race gathering.
However, before the gathering had even begun, a youth from an unknown race, with a mana purity below 70% had clearly demonstrated to them that their assumptions were foolish, if not childish!
This was already more than enough to destroy their confidence causing them to belief that they should have been more careful about what they were doing.
In only a few minutes, the three groups had dispersed again which was noticed by many other, more passively acting races who had just witnessed the little spat from the sidelines.
Commander Nuyra observed everything carefully too, and he thought that Shane was extremely level-headed.
At least, until the prodigy from the Fiasr race had started talking about Shane's mother.
'His temper needs to be trained...he is emotionally unstable too. Such a simple provocation was already enough to trigger Shane's nerves!'
The analysis was simple and spoke volumes about Shane's weakness, but on the other hand, commander Nuyra couldn't help but think that the youth was more interesting than he'd initially thought.
'WIth a mana purity of 60%, he can already attain such a high combat prowess, let alone his intimidation...which reached a shocking degree!'
This caused him to smile lightly before the group members reunited again, and his smile was replaced by a stoic expression.
"I will report our arrival. After that everyone should receive the code for their assigned room in addition to a map of the hall. I would prefer if everyone could hold back a little bit.
I know I had said earlier that we shouldn't be seen as pushovers, but neither should others label us as troublemakers, alright?"
Everyone eyed Shane when Commander Nuyra said the last words, and it was only when he nodded his head that they diverted their gazes back to the commander once again.
"Not even my help is appreciated." Shane sighed after he had said so before he smiled at the three girls who were glaring at him.
Instead of teasing them some more, he pointed in a particular direction as he added,
"I think I saw something to eat in that direction, let's look at what kind of food has been served! Maybe we can find something delicious!"
After Shane said this, his eyes followed the rows upon rows of tables with all kinds of food placed on them.
"Ew, that looks disgusting! Maybe it's delicious!"
