"Then, I will tie it myself," Reva said as she gestured to him to give her the band.
Damien knew that by using one's ethereal energy, it's simple to tie a band around their wrist themselves. But that's obviously not what he wanted.
Damien shook his head as he said in all seriousness, "No can do. Things like these we should do using our own hands without making use of our cultivation. Only that way we can show that we both respect our friendship."
He continued with a pitiful expression, "You won't refuse, right? I was thrilled when you said that you acknowledge me as your friend. But now it seems like you didn't mean it."
Damien showed a disappointed expression as he slowly receded his hand, having the band.
"No...wait."
Reva thought about how Damien was earnestly helping her out in solving medical formulas for her and teaching her simultaneously without asking for anything in return. It seemed more like the teacher-student relationship was reversed during the 'extra classes'.
She felt that the least she could do is accept him as a 'friend' even though she didn't have a good idea of what a friend is supposed to be. However, she was curious to try and see how it feels to have a friend.
She found that being around Damien didn't seem unpleasant as she thought. In fact, Damien made her feel as if being alone is not as good as she felt it to be.
Reva had a reluctant expression as she hesitated for a few moments. If she refused him it would mean that her words were insincere when she said that she accepted Damien as a friend. And seeing his disappointed expression, she felt as if she lied to him.
After making sure that no one was spying on them, she let out a helpless sigh as she slowly put out her wrist towards Damien. If someone saw her letting a man touch her, it could spark a lot of trouble, especially for Damien.
Damien smiled as he slowly moved his hand towards her milky white wrist and gently grasped it, feeling how soft and slender her wrist was.
Reva jerked her wrist instinctively as if she wanted to withdraw her arm but managed not to. Her eyelashes fluttered as she felt his warm hand holding her wrist gently. She felt strange seeing her disciple hold her wrist and couldn't even believe it herself that she allowed it.
"Tie it quickly," Reva said impatiently.
Damien chuckled as he started to tie the silver band around her wrist while taking his own sweet time.
Since Reva leaned forward to see Damien tying the silver band around her wrist, Damien saw her deep cleavage coming into his sight, though not completely.
'Wew, those bazookas ain't for show…' He felt that Reva's dress was utterly hiding away her bountiful assets and quickly shifted his gaze before Reva caught him red-handed.
"There, it's done. Also, you don't have to worry even if people see it as they wouldn't even understand what's written on it." Damien stated.
Reva examined the beautiful silver band curiously and saw that some strange letters were inscribed on it. She couldn't read it and wondered if Damien simply engraved some random symbols.
Damien saw her confused expression and said, "You won't understand what's written because that is not written in the Ethereal Language. I wrote it in another language that no one else will understand because it is my own language that belongs only to me."
Damien had inscribed the word 'Friend' in Earth language because of which not only Reva but everyone else in this world wouldn't be able to read it.
Reva had a doubtful expression as she didn't fully buy that Damien came up with his own language. She looked skeptically at him, to which Damien chuckled as he leaned forward to explain to her what those words meant.
"I am not joking. This really is in a different language. The meaning of what I engraved on this is 'Friend'." Damien also spelled out each word and how it sounds when spoken in Earth language.
Reva slowly started to believe him, seeing how his explanation seemed sound and clear and not something he made up on the spot. But she couldn't understand how or why he would even create his own language.
"So, now, with this band around your wrist, we are officially friends," Damien said in an exuberant tone.
Reva brushed the silver brand on her wrist with her fingers and wondered where Damien learned to come up with his own language.
However, seeing the band on her wrist, she believed that she finally made a friend.
But Damien smiled inwardly, thinking that things have been going smoother than he expected.
Seeing the whole sight from inside the Shard Of Essence, Luna shook her head with an exasperated sigh, thinking what a waste it was for Damien to not take her for himself.

"Okay, let's discuss the medical formulas now," Damien said as he took one of the jade scrolls kept before Reva.
Reva nodded as her focus shifted towards the scrolls.
They both discussed for more than two hours, and Reva keenly listened to every single thing Damien explained. She felt that not even her alchemy teacher was able to explain concepts so simply without making it sound too complex.
Soon, Damien left when the skies were starting to become dusky, leaving behind a thoughtful Reva.
She kept looking at the silver band on her wrist and mumbled with a wistful smile, "Mother...I have finally made a friend."
——
An hour later, Damien, along with Valentina in her ethereal beast form, was in the Forsaken's territory, which was actually at least 1000 kilometers away from the Xeton Imperial City, hidden within a barrier. Only those with the soul seal could come and go.
Damien could either use the official teleportation formations in the imperial city and teleport to the closest city to the Forsaken's territory or, he could use the public mount to fly to various cities using Spirit Stones.
The former option would cost him more Spirit Stones but a faster mode of transportation, while the latter would cost him less Spirit Stones but slower.
Like public vehicles in his previous life, there were shared mounts that were huge birds or even ethereal beasts that walked on the ground. Many people would get on top of these big ethereal beasts and travel to different places.
Of course, the ethereal beasts must be tamed well; otherwise, terrible consequences can occur where the ethereal beast would kill all the people on its back. This is why people would only dare to ride on ethereal beasts that were properly tamed by skilled beast tamers.
Within an hour, Damien finished teaching his class and simply walked around as he observed what the people were doing.
He saw Yara Haley in a big field along with other silver rankers practicing with their weapons.
Yara Haley noticed Damien and called out to him with a spirited expression. Damien chuckled as he walked towards her.
When Damien came near her, she said excitedly, "Hey, watch my moves and tell me how impressive it is."
Damien noticed that most of them, including Yara Haley, were using swords while some had spears, daggers, and other weapons.
'Seems like swords are popular no matter where you go.' Damien observed Yara Haley showing off her moves and felt that her skill was satisfactory.
"Hmm, not bad," Damien said just as Yara Haley finished executing her moves.
Yara Haley pouted, "Not bad? That's it? Everyone, including my master, told me that my sword skills are excellent. I heard your sword mastery is quite good as well. If you think my skills are not bad', spar with me, and let's see what a great swordmaster like you can do."
Damien chuckled and took out his sword.
She added, "Of course, no cultivation allowed."
Yara Haley charged towards Damien while shouting, "Come on!!"
However, ten seconds later…
"Shit!" Yara Haley mumbled in vexation as she found herself lying on the ground with her sword lying a few meters away. For most of the time, Damien casually dodged her attacks and finally relieved her of her sword.
Damien put his sword back and chuckled, "Next time, think twice before you challenge me."
The others were so surprised that their eyes almost flew out, seeing Damien defeat the Unstoppable Yara within just seconds.
No matter how many times they replayed the scene in their heads, they couldn't believe someone highly trained like Yara Haley would lose so fast. Even though they didn't use their cultivation, it still meant that Damien's swordplay was leagues ahead.

"Wait!!" Yara Haley quickly got up and rushed towards Damien. She stood before him and said, "Teach me some of your skills...no, wait...teach us!"
