Journal Entry: Day 2
My second day actually started during the night. I don’t have the luxury of getting to bed, even when I have a bed, before midnight. I had to wait to check the what happens when midnight strikes and most cards lose their effect. The cards also regain their colour and can be used again. Since I wasn’t going to trust the dungeon not to kill me in my sleep I continued exploring the dungeon and eliminating every monster in my path. Even though exhaustion was creeping in and I had various aches, both from hitting he ground on arrival and the battles, I had no choice but to continue onward. That day was the first time I encountered a boss monster. I am not using the word creature, even if it is more appropriate. Even if the battle ended quickly, I had a big scare during it. Some of my Spells wouldn’t activate and now that I think about it, some were probably only working on half strength also. I considered the consequences only after the battle had finished. What if my insurance was needed and didn’t activate? Did I write about my insurance? The Spell Last Will allows me to activate an action after my death and I choose to resurrect myself with the use of a Spell card. After the boss fight was also the first time I opened a reward chest, but considering this is my first dungeon, I don’t think this to be a big surprise. In it I found my new knife, which now that I think about could have totally been cursed and I am an idiot for using without checking or trying to select with Magic Removal or Remove Trap. The potion could have been helpful, but I totally forgot about it when I needed healing, so... Yeah. The most useful turned out to be the pouch. The money inside it not so much. I mean, what could I buy with it in a dungeon? After the boss room I spend what was left of the night and half of the other day sleeping in the teleportation room of floor 2. For the first few moments after waking up I didn’t know where I was. It took me a few moments to remember the dungeon and the goblins and the skills and occupations. And speaking of which, I checked both my occupation and the notifications and a lot of things leveled up. I also was able to buy the first Booster Pack, which was underwhelming in cards I could use. Except the many battles I had on the second day, I leveled a lot more skills, crafted a weapon, was able to level my occupation enough to summon 2 star creatures, beat another boss and finally, discovered how powerful Dian Keto was. As expected from a God of Healing, all my bruises, scratches and scars disappeared without a trace. And even though my stomach was feeling a little empty, my body was full of energy. And even if it is the dirt day with decreased food intake and the symptoms of starvation and malnutrition are barely starting, I think her effect completely eliminated them. But even if I could heal myself from starving my body, my stomach is till going to be empty and bothering me if I don’t find food. Did I mention my occupation ranked up to Epic after Summoning a minor God? Anyways later that day I was able to scrap Tokens for another Booster Pack that wasn’t much better than the first one. Not long after that my second day in this world ended, not that I went to sleep.
