Chapter 101: Properly Get Along

Although he did feel so, Jillian hadn’t bore with his humiliation until now for no reason.

There was only one thing in Jillian’s mind.

And that was revenge.

When he remembered that sneering grin on the man who was responsible for his current nightmare, the humiliation in Jillian’s heart turned totally into hatred.

Thus, after he realized that he fell to that man and was reduced to such a state, Jillian swore in his heart that he would absolutely take revenge in the most cruel manner possible.

“I can’t die just yet…”

That’s right, he couldn’t die here.

Jillian repeated that to himself in his mind as he prepared to close his eyes and quietly wait for his chance.

However, Jillian didn’t know that although he, the villain, had such patient, it wasn’t necessarily so for the protagonist.

Thus…

“Oh, long time no see. You look like you’ve been having a great time here. Free room and board is quite nice, isn’t it?”

That voice suddenly appeared here and entered Jillian’s ears.

Jillian instantly shook at that. His head forcefully flung upward and he looked forward.

The next second, Jillian saw him.

The figure of the person that he hated the most.

“You…!?”

Jillian’s eyes opened wide, and an flood of killing intent and raw hatred filled the room.

The newcomer was of course Shien.

“Shh. Don’t make so much noise.” Shien put a finger over his lips and warned him like he was one of Jillian’s comrades who came to save him. However, the expression on Shien’s face was was a playful grin as he spoke, “The guard here was quite strict you know. There are people patrolling the area at all times, and there are even alarm boundaries. If I didn’t have the help of a very high leveled [Stealth] skill, there’s no way that I could have gotten in here. However, if you make a single sound and end up alerting anyone else, I’d have no choice but to leave you know?”

As he heard that, Jillian didn’t react at all. He just continued to glare at Shien with eyes fill of killing intent and hatred. He clenched his hand so hard that veins were popping out, as if he wanted to rip Shien apart into tiny pieces. Thus, it was easy to imagine just what kind of violent emotions were bubbling inside his heart.

If it was anyone else, including perhaps even Balon, there’s no way that they’d be able to stay calm under Jillian’s terrifying glare.

However, Shien just completely ignored it. Not only was he not afraid at all, he even moved forward on his own initiative.

“Alright, I won’t waste any more words.” Shien looked at Jillian and spoke without beating around the bush, “Do you want to leave?”

That really was an unbelievably direct question.

However, Jillian didn’t reply at all. He just kept on glaring at Shien with barely suppressed violence.

Seeing that, Shien couldn’t hold back a sigh.

“Not listening again huh?” Shien spoke resignedly, “Be it the previous time or now, both time you chose to ignore it and only respond to the words that you wanted to heard. As expected of a level 77 demon elite and the subordinate of one of the six great demon lords’ direct subordinates. You put up quite the attitude huh.”

As he said that, Shien grinned.

“However, you should know quite well just what that attitude got you last time, right?”

As he heard those words, Jillian’s expression turned into one of anger and he finally decided to reply.

However, this time, before Jillian could open his mouth, the image of a fist filled his vision.

“Bang!”

A heavy force exploded right on Jillian’s face.

“Ugh…!?”

Jillian just felt a sudden pain and screamed out. However, that scream was covered up.

“Don’t scream, don’t scream. If you scream, I’ll be exposed.” Shien clenched one of his hands into a fist while the other covered Jillian’s mouth as he spoke with a grin, “Really, did you really have to do that? Isn’t it fine if you just listened obediently? Are you not happy unless you make me mad and hit you? Although villains basically just need beatings, if you ask for beatings so proactively like that, then as an adventurer filled with justice, I’d have a hard time over it.”

As that speech ended, Shien’s fist turned into a gale and repeatedly buffeted Jillian.

“Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!” …

With the dull sound of each impact, Shien’s fist also repeatedly fell onto Jillian’s head , making Jillian scream out in pain over and over.

Within the tent, the heavily bound demon race elite was continuously beaten by a nameless new adventurer without being able to offer even the slightest resistance. He could only receive his beatings. An observer of the scene would not be able to tell which of them was the protagonist, and which was the villain.

However, one thing was sure.

And that was, following Shien’s punches, Jillian had not only not showed no signs of submission, but he instead only felt more and more angry, more and more humiliated. In the end, he ever started roaring out like mad.

“I’ll absolutely kill you! Kill you!”

Jillian’s hatred had all but exploded.

Of course, given that Shien had covered up those hate-filled words, it had only ended up as a bunch of “Uuuugghh” noises.

Shien was also quite controlled. Although it seemed like the violence wasn’t strong enough, in reality, Shien was actually finely controlling the sounds it made so as to make sure that no one could detect what was happening in the tent.

In the end, after some time, Shien actually got super into it.

“The feel of the impacts really is indescribable. Say, why don’t you stop being some chuuni Old Demon Faction kid and instead go get a job as a professional training assistant? With your constitution, you would definitely make a great sandbag.”

As Shien said that, his fist started moving even faster and heavier.

Until finally…

「Skill gained – [Unarmed Combat] – Would you like to learn?」

Without any warning, that message appeared in Shien’s mind, which finally got him to stop.

“You can get actually skills this way?”

Shien was a bit stunned, but he did still learn the newly acquired skill and then maxed out its level without hesitation.

If Shien didn’t remember wrong, it seems that Lumia had also learned this skill. It seemed to be a skill that specializes in boosting one’s techniques and abilities when doing unarmed combat.

“If I knew that I could learn a skill by beating someone until I got into it, then I would have given you a few more punches last time.”

Shien, who was in a great mood, finally stopped and released the hand he had holding Jillian.

“Huff… Huff…”

Jillian was breathing hard with his face completely messed up. His eyes, nose, and the corner of his mouth all had traces of blood on them, making him look especially terrible.

Even so, Jillian still glared at Shien, and the killing intent and hatred in his eyes didn’t lessen at all. Rather, it had become even more insane.

Shien could guarantee that the moment the bindings on Jillian was released, Jillian would definitely leap at Shien without thinking and try for a double suicide.

“Too bad, too bad though. That’s not something that I need.”

Jillian moved his face to just before Jillian and looked him in the eyes. A terrifying smile spread out on Shien’s face.

“Well, the night is long after all. For the sake of reaching my goals, let’s properly get along.”
