Story of the past. Xue Ying's POV.
After he had left the frightened little young lady at the alley as he noticed the incoming shuttle going towards their location, Xue Ying immediately took his leave but didn't leave the scene completely and watched what would happen next and how those men inside the shuttle would treat the young lady. When he saw the scene of the two men, One young and one old, running urgently towards the little girl, he knew that they must be her family.
"The little fairy's name is Yve ha~ It suits her well~" murmured Xue Ying.
Suddenly he got hit on the head, he was about to retaliate only to freeze when he saw his supposed mission partner with a dark and enraged expression on his usual cold face.
"B-Boss?!!" exclaimed Xue Ying in shock and fear. "Please don't hit me anymore. I really heard a girl scream in this direction. I thought it was the murderer attacking someone but it was a group of gangsters trying to molest a young lady!"
Xue Ying tried to explain more about what he did and didn't notice Altair Sirius looking at the emotional scene happening below them.
'That man is... General Lin Tang's son, Lin Velvet and Lin Tian the future heir of the Lin Clan. Then that means... that little one is not really a girl but the youngest son of Lin Velvet, Lin Yven.' Thoughts of Altair Sirius.
He then move his gaze and stare at the stupid fool telling him how he had saved a beautiful little fairy and felt that he might have fallen at first sight and would be waiting for the young lady to grew up before he courts her or something.
Altair Sirius sighed and said, "Ha~ You are a fool, Ying."
"You are just jealous~" murmured Xue Ying.
Altair Sirius beat him up and then he had dragged Sirius to resume their mission only to get penalized and Xue Ying got beaten for the second time all night by Sirius for getting punished with him when all he had done was pick up the lost fool.

Back to reality.
Inside the battleship owned by the Fallen Gods Unit.
Lin Yven and Solaris Vega had just finished their training for today and just left the room where their leader is and let him rest. They were told to have their dinner first before leaving the ship and returning to their designated tent where they sleep. On their way to the cafeteria, they had bumped into the Marshal and Lieutenant General Xue Ying who just returned from the meeting with the rest of the present generals on the planet. They were making plans for the incoming war that was looming on Planet Citlali.
Lin Yven could still hear the words Young Lord Jing had told him about. This is about Lieutenant General Xue Ying not only mistaking him for a girl but also how he treated him like a little fairy. Recalling this not only made the young man embarrassed but he felt that he wanted to hit the latter's face as well. Calling a young man a little fair? If only he wasn't hiding the fact that it was him who had helped Lieutenant General purify his mania, Lin Yven would have definitely complained to his face.
Before they crossed each other's path, Lin Yven and Solaris Vega heard the content of their two superiors' conversation.
The marshal asked, "You still didn't know who helped you purify your mania?"
"I don't know. There were lots of people who visited me that day. A'Yang that jerk even told me that he left me alone to spend time with his wife that day. Since the surveillance cameras in the prison room were intentionally turned off, all paths to look for my benefactor had turned to poof!" said Xue Ying.
The marshal retorted, "Or maybe your savior doesn't like you at all and only helped you because there is a war coming on our way. If not for the fact that you are so annoying, your benefactor must be avoiding you. Now that you have a mysterious guide with that much compatibility, I suggest that you look for that person instead of daydreaming with that little fairy of yours from the past."
"What are you saying, Marshal? My little fairy, Yve, is definitely there somewhere. By this time, she should have grown up to become a beauty waiting for me to marry her!" said Lieutenant General Xue Ying.
The marshal says, "Little fairy ha? Maybe it's because you call him by that silly pet name that he is ignoring you."
"What's wrong with a little fairy? Aren't girls supposed to like being called as such?" said Xue Ying but when he turned around he noticed Lin Yven glaring at him with angered-filled eyes.
Flinch!
Xue Ying was startled that he had stopped walking all of the sudden. He couldn't understand why his body suddenly froze under the gaze of this young man called Lin Yven. Standing beside Lin Yven is the innocent child Solaris Vega, who was moving his eyes to look at his friend and his superiors. Hesitating for a moment if he should stop Lin Yven from glowering at Lieutenant General Xue Ying or salute to their two superiors.
Marshal Altair's thoughts upon recognizing Lin Yven, 'Isn't this child the one whom Xue Ying had mistaken for a girl and had a crush on for years?'
Solaris Vega whispered, "Y-Yven, it's the Marshal and Lieutenant General Xue Ying."
Only then did Lin Yven remembered where he was and saluted his superior with Solaris Vega.
"Greetings to the Marshal and Lieutenant General Xue Ying!"
Marshal Altair nodded his head in return for their greetings but his right-hand man, Lieutenant General Xue Ying stood still for a few seconds just staring at Lin Yven. As if thinking why Lin Yven is angry and glaring at him. Lin Yven no longer waited for the reaction of Xue Ying and walked away after greeting the two. Solaris Vega who couldn't understand the situation was dragged away by his friend with confusion imprinted on his face.

Only when the two students had disappeared from their line of sight that Xue Ying had snapped out of his daydream. The marshal who was intending to kick the shin of his subordinate stopped as he noticed the weird expression on Xue Ying's face.
"Marshal~ for some reason I think I know that young man from somewhere but I couldn't remember him. Isn't he from Xiao Jing group?" asked Xue Ying.
The marshal replied, "Must be... the only room in this direction is our room."
While his thoughts are, 'Did this fool not recognize Student Lin Yven at all? It's pretty much obvious that my wife had definitely told the latter about the ridiculous pet name he give the young man. That anger just now... It feels like Student Lin Yven wanted to beat up this idiot.'
Wearing a bewildered expression on his face, Xue Ying asked his boss, "Marshal, why do you think he hates me? I didn't do anything to him at all. Did you see his glare just now, it was as if he wanted to beat me up!"
The Marshal sighed at how blind Xue Ying is to not even recognize his grown-up crush. Then thinking about everyone from his guide's group to be awakened, he remembered that Lin Yven had become a guide. He could already guess the identity of the mysterious guide who cured this idiotic subordinate of his.
"So it was him..." murmured the Marshal.
Xue Ying commented, "Marshal you already have my adorable cousin, Xiao Jing as your other half. Please stop looking at the other guides!"
Marshal Altair gave his subordinate a glare and gave him a look as if he was staring at a brainless fool. His wife hasn't forgiven him yet, does this moron think he had time to waste on other people.
"I only love my Jing'er and you are accusing me of looking at others! Xue Ying, do you want to die?" a dark aura surrounds the Marshal making Xue Ying step away in fear.
"B-B-Boss... Calm down... I was only... joking ba~" said Xue Ying.
"Hmp! It's because you treat most things half-heartedly that you couldn't even see what you are looking for. Anyway, you should go and maybe accompany those two guides to the cafeteria and send them back. There are too many unpaired sentinels in the ship. Stop them from bothering the two students. I'm going back to see my wife," said Marshal Altair and walked away after giving his friend a fierce glare accusing him of cheating on his wife. "You blind fool. Go away!"
Xue Ying watched as his boss walked away in anger. He had a helpless smile on his face and knew that he shouldn't have said those words. After all, his cousin and his boss are still in a quarrel. With Feng Jing still ignoring the marshal all the time. In the end, he could only follow the boss's orders and head to the cafeteria to escort the two newly awakened guides and stop the other soldiers from courting death. If his beloved cousin learned that their people had harmed his people, Feng Jing would definitely get angry.
If Feng Jing gets angry means that his boss would definitely be enraged too. When that happens the one who would suffer the most would be most likely him. After escorting Lin Yven and Solaris Vega back to their tents, Xue Ying who glared at them all the time was confused as to why the latter had hated him a lot.
The glaring Lin Yven surfaced every time he saw Xue Ying. He was glaring at him like he was his mortal enemy. It lasted for a few days that even the other soldiers and his family noticed that Xue Ying has received glare most of the time they've met. Xue Ying still didn't know why Lin Yven was glowering at him. This interaction between them lasted for a few days until Xue Ying could no longer hold back and summoned Lin Yven to the main tent.
The meeting for that day had just finished and the only ones inside the tent were the marshal, Feng Yang and King Zenith. They were planning about how to split the groups and where they would be positioned. Right now, they are taking a short break.
Regulus Zenith asked the Marshal, "Marshal, is Xiao Jing still angry?"
"A bit. He still ignores me sometimes but... he would also talk to me for a bit," replied Marshal Altair. "He is starting to look at me more often than usual."
Feng Yang commented, "It was your fault anyway, Brother Sirius. You shouldn't have jumped into the enemy's traps like that. Xiao Jing was very angry when he didn't see you in the hidden mansion in the central region. Now that mansion is nothing more than a pile of ashes." holding a cup of coffee in his hands, "I have also told the elders about what happened to you and Xiao Jing. They said that after this war the engagement party would no longer happen and the two of you would get married right after."
"I will call them later. Now that I have left a permanent mark on Jing'er it is only right that I take responsibility for it. I will marry Jing'er when we get back to the Empire," declared the Marshal.
King Zenith also agreed to the marshal's decision. "This is good."
"True. But I think you would still be beaten up by the old men when we got home..." said Xue Ying with a huge grin on his face.
The Marshal gave the letter a cold glance and said, "At least I'm getting married while you still haven't found the guide that helped you with your mania. So useless..."
Regulus Zenith and Feng Yang laughed at Xue Ying after hearing the words the marshal had said. They also knew how hard Xue Ying is looking for the mysterious guide who cured him.
Xue Ying glared at his cousin, Feng Jing, "A'Yang! You truly do not know who had cured me!? I've heard that it was you and Bai Yuyan who carried me back to the ship."
Feng Yang gave Xue Ying a meaningful smile. Of course, he knows the identity of that guide. But unfortunately, his fiance had solemnly warned him not to tell Xue Ying about Lin Yven. After all, the latter doesn't seem to like Xue Ying that much. He had also witnessed Lin Yven glaring at Xue Ying once they bumped into each other.
Intentionally changing the topic, Feng Yang asked. "By the way, A'Ying, did that student named Lin Yven your past lover or something? I've seen him glaring at you like he wanted to beat you or something."
Hearing this question, Xue Ying couldn't help but slumped his shoulders and said, "Even I don't know! He keeps glowering at me whenever we meet. But I swear I've met him the first time when Xiao Jing and his group boarded Fallen Gods' ship on our way here."
