Chapter 55: Chapter 55

Unlike the battle with Heinrich I didn't plan to go easy on the students who had challenged me, even before the battle had started I had drawn the large blade that had stayed sheathed during the fight with him. I was still as a statue as I rested both hands on the bottom of the large sword's hilt as I looked over the few hundred students who were standing en masse before me.

A scene like this wouldn't have been out of place in my past life, though back then I had allies around me, while now I was the sole fighter for my side. While the scenery might've been similar, the feeling behind it was completely different, one was a bloody mess where a mistake could end your life, while the other was simply a fabrication with no risk other than a spot on a list. Even still, I planned to go at this seriously as possible, I was hoping this fight would at least let me test the limits of Masochism and Power of Pleasure.

As it was previously the stands were filled with students who were waiting for the match to start, though there were far more people this time. Not only that but there were plenty of both those who wanted me to lose and those who wanted me to win and I was pretty sure that I could see someone going around taking bets. I didn't care too much about most of the audience as let alone see them, I didn't know that many people besides the female Elves who seemed to be cheering for me. There was one other group that I took notice of, not because I knew them, but rather because it solved a mystery.

A group of maybe a hundred and fifty, both boys and girls were yelling my Empress Title as if they were intoxicated. I couldn't understand why they had chosen that term for me, I found it embarrassing as I was not a ruler of any kind. It was simple to tune out among the other noises that were filling the space, and I was able to hide the Title if I wished so it wasn't like it had an impact. As the countdown began to the start of the fight I wondered if all the members in the top ten had fans like that. I wasn't able to remember if I had seen or heard such members when I'd fought Heinrich, but I'd barely paid attention to the crowd then.

Soon an extremely loud clang filled the area signaling the start of the fight, though it was more of a massacre. I immediately pushed off the ground with full force into a sprint directly towards the challengers who were also running towards me. They at least had the sense to set up battle lines and there was a semblance of tactics, however there wasn't much they could do against my overwhelming firepower.

All manner of spells and other means of ranged attacks rained upon me as I dashed towards the heavy armor vanguard that I assumed was meant to halt my advance so all the other fighters could wear me out. For a normal person the amount of firepower that was heading my direction would be something to avoid at all costs. I was however, far from normal and actually went out of my way to be hit with as much as possible.

A massive cloud of dust formed from the impact between me and the ranged attacks and there was a small moment of silence. I however had overestimated how strong the combined attack would be so soon my laugh was heard across throughout the arena as I walked out of the dust cloud. I was covered in various wounds and I was pretty sure I'd lost most of my exposed body on my left side, however, I felt better than I had before as dark flames began to cover my wounds, burning away bolts and arrows, and restoring my body to optimal condition. I must have lost part of my face or jaw as I could see the black-purple flame flickering just below my right eye.

Several challengers had actually forfeited upon seeing me and disappeared just as I caught sight of them, once again dashing at full speed towards them. I was fully ready to test out my offensive power now that I'd gotten a feeling for my defense. I hadn't realized how dull the world had been when I'd Pain Nullification, but the feeling of being beat upon by all manner of phenomena had really driven home that fact. Masochism was working at full once again as I was terribly aroused and knowing the slaughter to come it felt as if I was intoxicated.

The heavily armored units and I soon clashed with me coming out on top, several bodies covered in armor had been cleaved through as if they were nothing more than butter. Not wanting to take any chances I had also covered the blade in my Flames of Yin, causing the purple-black flames to devour the remaining organic material quickly, ensuring there were no survivors.

Without stopping I proceeded to run and cut through the entirety of the vanguard, occasionally releasing an erotic moan as Sadism rewarded me for killing my opponents. Essence Sharing was doing it's fair share as it kept my reserves full despite me going full throttle for a suspended period of time.

It took perhaps an hour to completely wipe out the student army that had once been gathered before me. Most of them had been pushovers, but there were a few who had been tougher, but not by too much. There had been one student completely covered in armor made from mithral that I was unable to cleave or puncture, it however, did not stop Oscillation of Death, as I had decided to name it. The very same spell that had dealt with Heinrich, and while I found it amazing that there was someone who could afford a full set of mithral armor, their technique was completely lacking which meant they had money but not much else. There were also a few spellcasters who were adept at space magic that were able to short range teleport, but it only took some thread spread about for them to essentially kill themselves as their organs were cut up from the inside after a teleport.

The fight, if one could call it that, soon came to end with me standing alone and bloodstained in the sand, as heavy, sensual panting left my lungs while I waited for the match to officially end.
