Chapter 830: Creepy Girl

Though he found the situation inappropriate and uncomfortable to be in, Xia Lei still decided to enter Zhu Xuanyue’s room.

As soon as the door was opened, Zhu Xuanyue, who had her upper half dangled over the edge of the bed, abruptly pushed her palms against the floor. Her body immediately sprung up from the ground. At that moment, her form looked like a freshly shot arrow. It required her less than a second to present the base of her feet against Xia Lei’s head.

She had a pair of flawless legs. There was not a single callous on the underside of her foot. Her legs were certainly one to admire. However, Xia Lei was not in the headspace to admire the beauty of her feet. In fact, he was scared shitless. The power of Zhu Xuanyue’s kick was a threat to him! If she kicked his face, his nose bridge would undoubtedly shatter!

Caught off guard, he quickly lowered his knees. The moment he had squatted, Zhu Xuanyue’s deadly long leg flew by his head and scraped against his scalp. Without wasting a beat, both of her hands were lowered straight from the air to grapple his neck. All Xia Lei could remember next was the immense pressure pressed against his throat and then suffocation!

Xia Lei hurriedly threw himself against the ground, quickly kicking his right foot up towards Zhu Xuanyue’s crown.

Zhu Xuanyue loosened her grip on his neck to grab on Xia Lei’s incoming foot.

The assault came to an abrupt halt.

Out of exhaustion, Xia Lei slumped against the ground while Zhu Xuanyue let herself fall against his body. Her head was in between his thighs while his head was in between her thighs. The position they found themselves in was a very risque sixty-nine.

Zhu Xuanyue was presumably fine since Xia Lei had pants on.

But it was a different story for poor Xia Lei due to the proximity and lack of clothing on Zhu Xuanyue. Her privates were a little too close for comfort. Everything was too damned near! Her privates were within his reach! This was more intense from when he had found her completely naked, Xia Lei felt like he was about to explode.

“Uncle Xia!” Zhu Xuanyue finally noticed that it was Xia Lei. Frantically, she scurried away from his body, face filled with regret. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t know it was you.”

Xia Lei lifted himself from the floor and proceeded to stare at her. His eyes were wide with unhidden terror. He thought to himself, “Why is she so ridiculously strong?! She’s even more powerful than Master!”

Liang Zhengchun had dedicated his entire life to the art of Wing Chun and had insanely fortified internal strength, Xia Lei was admittedly no match against him. But if a comparison were to be made between Zhu Xuanyue and Liang Zhengchun, the latter was evidently much weaker!

Another cruel reality was that if Zhu Xuanyue had chosen to unleash her full capabilities on him, he wouldn’t have been able to survive that brawl!

“Uncle Xia, why are you staring at me like that?” Zhu Xuanyue waved a palm in front of him.

Which finally snapped Xia Lei back to reality. “Why did you attack me just now?”

“I don’t know. I just noticed that someone had entered my room and before I knew anything, I was already doing it. I’m so sorry, Uncle Xia.” Zhu Xuanyue lowered her head, behaving like a child who knew she was in trouble.

Seeing her in this state, Xia Lei no longer reprimanded her. He flashed her a faint smile instead. “It’s alright. Please remember to not recklessly attack anyone next time. You’re very strong, you might hurt someone unintentionally.”

“Alright, I promise.” Zhu Xuanyue grinned.

“What were you doing just now? Were you looking for something?” asked Xia Lei.

“I found something small,” answered Zhu Xuanyue.

“What did you find?” Xia Lie lowered his body to look under the bed.

Suddenly, a rat came dashing out from underneath the bed towards the washroom.

From the corner of his eye, he could see Zhu Xuanyue’s figure sway and the next time she halted, the rat was already in her palms.

Xia Lei was shocked. He wasn’t able to see her move but when she stopped, the rat was already in her hands!

The speed she displayed was inhuman. It wasn’t something any regular human being was supposed to have, Xia Lei, included!

Zhu Xuanyue abruptly tightened her grip.

Squeak! The rat let out an agonizing squeak before dying within Zhu Xuanyue’s fist.

“Xuanyue, you…” Xia Lei wanted to say something but he didn’t know what to say.

Zhu Xuanyue slowly approached Xia Lei with a sweet smile. “Uncle Xia, here. It’s a present.”

Before Xia Lei could reply, Zhu Xuanyue had already placed the dead rodent on his palm.

The sudden contact was cold. The unnatural temperature of the rat’s body was as if it had been stored in the refrigerator for a few minutes!

Inexplicably, Xia Lei’s mind wandered back to the incident back at the sanatorium that afternoon. When he touched one of the expert’s newly-passed bodies, it was cold too.

Xia Lei’s left eye twitched and penetrated through the rat’s brain.

Surprisingly, its brain hadn’t shrunk. It looked rather normal. The finding allowed him to heave a sigh of relief. If the rat had experienced the same brain shrinkage as those experts, Xia Lei would really suspect that she had something to do with the deaths of the expert team!

“I’m so full, I feel very sleepy.” Zhu Xuanyue yawned. “Uncle Xia, I wanna sleep with you. Can you hug me to sleep tonight?”

Xia Lei frantically declined. “No! You should sleep alone.”

“But I really wanna sleep with you,” whined Zhu Xuanyue.

“Behave yourself!” Xia Lei’s expression was tense.

“Fine, there’s no need to be so mean.” Zhu Xuanyue pouted, looking as if she was wronged.

“Also, no matter if you’re in the room or outside, you must be clothed. You cannot run around the place naked, promise?” Xia Lei’s tone remained stern.

Zhu Xuanyue frowned silently but still gave a nod.

“Go to bed, I’ll get you a teacher tomorrow. You need to learn some etiquette.” With that, Xia Lei left her room.

As soon as he was out of her sight, Xia Lei tossed the dead rat into the trash. The man couldn’t help but turn around to use his X-ray vision on Zhu Xuanyue’s room once again for good measure, only to find the girl pulling up a pair of panties. The entire process made him gulp.

“She’s still a good child after all. I’ll call Qing Caiyue over to teach her some manners tomorrow.” Xia Lei’s heart wondered as he left.

Unbeknownst to him, the panty-clad Zhu Xuanyue started to walk around her room in circles. Then, she began to mumble…

“Who are you?”

“Who are you?”

“What are you trying to do?”

“What are you trying to do?”

“Hey, shut up!”

“You’re the one who should shut up!”

Next morning, Xia Lei brought Zhu Xuanyue to Thunder Horse Military Factory to pass her to Qing Caiyue. The girl wasn’t keen on following the stranger but after Xia Lei had reprimanded her, she hurriedly scurried over to sit for Qing Caiyue’s lessons.

Soon, Huang Xuewen entered his office.

“Director Xia, I’d like to discuss an idea with you.”

“What do you have in mind?” Xia Lei glued his eyes on the younger male.

“The AI technologies you provided us are very advanced. It has greatly inspired me and my friends over at the AI department. We’ve discussed and found that some of the techniques provided could be used on our current production process and perhaps some weapon parts. For example, it could be very useful for the production of the Sweeper infantry fighting vehicle and the upcoming tank.”

The technologies mentioned were extracted from Hattori Masao back then. The particular patents involved were not intended for the military sector but with some modification, it would be perfect. Xia Lei was merely the ‘supplier’ in this part. He had readied plenty of resources while Huang Xuewen and his AI department had acted as his brains. The department had selected a few out of the thousands of resources supplied by Xia Lei and added their own spin to it to create the best suited Artificial Intelligence product for Thunder Horse Military Factory.

“Excellent, that’s great news. Proceed to implement it and let me know if you need anything else.” Xia Lei was delighted. Huang Xuewen had already offered impressive achievements. It was a good indication that Xia Lei had made the right choice.

Huang Xuewen continued, “I need Miss Sylvia and Miss Anina’s support on this. They’re the ones behind the tank’s research. I’d like your permission for the AI department to join the research.”

Xia Lei simply returned a nod. “Sure, not a problem. I’ll give them a call soon.”

“Also, Director Xia,” The younger male hesitated, but decided to say it anyway. “We only have one office for our department. Due to that, we’re limited to theory-based research and I really think we’d do much better with a laboratory and a garage. I’ve calculated the cost to be around eighty million.”

Xia Lei remained silent.

Huang Xuewen couldn’t help but get nervous. “Director Xia, I understand we have nothing much to offer yet and I know that it’s a little difficult for you to fork out that sum of money. But I guarantee that…”

Abruptly, Xia Lei smiled. “There’s no need to guarantee anything. I’ll hand you a fund of one billion, spend it wisely.”

“Huh?” Huang Xuewen couldn’t believe what he had just heard.

“Is it too much?” Xia Lei grinned.

“No, no, no… One billion makes things much easier.” A smile finally appeared on Huang Xuewen’s face. “You’re such a bold and generous boss, it’s my pleasure to work under you.”

“You better prove yourself to me with that amount given. Try to work out a way to incorporate Artificial Intelligence into our products as soon as possible. Our country is way behind in this sector, we need to catch up with the others fast,” said Xia Lei.

“Got it, we’ll do our very best. Thank you for your time, Director Xia. I’ll be off to work now.” Huang Xuewen turned around.

“Wait.” Xia Lei halted him and retrieved a USB from his drawer. “Take a look at this for me.”

“What is it?” Huang Xuewen was curious.

Xia Lei answered, “It’s a medical intelligence machine made by the Japanese. It’s probably the benchmark of the current technological advancement of Japan. Study it, I’m sure it’ll be of use to you and your friends.”

“How do you have access to things like this?” Huang Xuewen was shocked to know what it was.

“I’ve got my ways. Go, go back to work.” Xia Lei didn’t bother to explain its origins.

Huang Xuewen tightened his grip around the USB, barely able to conceal the excitement in his voice. “Director Xia, please believe in me. I will definitely produce our very own AI machines. Whether or not it falls under the medical field or military industry, we’ll certainly have it all!”

Xia Lei nodded his head, praising the youngster with his eyes.

If Xia Lei was only left with three years to live, then he shall make Thunder Horse Organization a world-renowned military organization that was up to par with Rheinmetall and even Lockheed Martin!
