Jaban State, Military.
“Idiot!” The commander-in-chief of the Jaban Military pounded on the table as he scolded the Chief of Navy who was intimidated by Hong Dali. “As the honor of the Jaban Empire, you got defeated before even fighting, and even gave out our warships! You are a disgrace! A disgrace!”
“Commander Miyamoto,” The Chief of Navy was cold with sweat. “Hong Dali’s technology is too powerful. If we opened fire, it was sure to start a war. I’m afraid our Jaban Empire is not good enough to go up against Hong Dali yet! That defense was too scary!”
“That makes sense.” Commander Miyamoto thought a while. “It’s good to be careful. But, what should we do next?”
It was especially important to deal with diplomatic issues with the Heavenly State. As he was feeling vexed, there was a knock on the door. Commander Miyamoto impatiently said, “The door is not locked. Come in.”
The door opened slowly and Shiroishi Kazuma walked in. He sat down on the sofa without greeting Commander Miyamoto and said in a deep voice, “President Gohon was found dead in his study room.”
“What?!” Commander Miyamoto stood up as he heard that. “Who did it?”
“No idea. There were no clues left behind. It was obviously done by a professional.” Shiroishi Kazuma took a deep breath and said, “President Gohon’s neck was twisted. But everyone else in the family was okay. Clearly, they only targeted President Gohon.”
“What about Ko Gohon?” Commander Miyamoto asked anxiously. “How is Ko Gohon? Did he die? Someone must take over Toyoda Conglomerate. Otherwise, there will be chaos in the Jaban!”
Toyoda Conglomerate was closely tied to Jaban’s economy. If there was chaos in Toyoda Conglomerate, Jaban State’s economy would definitely be affected. It was no wonder Commander Miyamoto was so nervous.
“Young Master Gohon is safe, but…” Shiroishi Kazuma gulped. “His situation is a little unique. He doesn’t want to see anyone…”
“He has to even if he doesn’t want! Bring me over, now!” Commander Miyamoto stood up and headed for the door. Commander Miyamoto turned over and said to the Chief of Navy, “I’ll take care of you when I return!”
They exited Jaban Military’s HQ, boarded Toyoda Conglomerate’s helicopter, and headed toward Toyoda manor.
They entered the manor, passed a long corridor, and arrived in a garden. Shiroishi Kazuma said, “Young Master Gohon is in the building in front.” Both of them went into the building and went up to level two, coming face to face with a metal door.
“What kind of situation is this?” Commander Miyamoto asked curiously. “You locked Ko Gohon up?”
“It’s a long story.” Shiroishi Kazuma took out a key and opened the metal door. When they arrived inside, the decor was completely different. The walls were all covered with pink wallpapers and the corridor was filled with plush toys. Commander Miyamoto was shocked. “This looks like a woman’s place. What happened exactly?”
Shiroishi Kazuma remained silent and led the way.
Soon, they arrived at the end of the corridor and made a turn. It was a door to a room of about a hundred square meters. The wall was filled with Jaban’s male celebrities. Commander Miyamoto curiously asked, “Did President Gohon bring back an illegitimate daughter?”
As he said that he heard a voice from inside the room. “Chief Shiroishi, did you bring someone along?”
The voice was slightly high-pitched but hoarse. It sounded like a man, yet like a woman, making one feel uneasy.
Shiroishi Kazuma replied, “It’s President Gohon’s old friend. He needs to see you.”
“My father’s old friend?” The person in the room said, “He’s too old. I won’t see him. Didn’t I say, other than male celebrities that I like, I won’t see anyone else.” It sounded like the person was whining. It was clearly a female’s tone, but also a man’s voice.
“This…” Commander Miyamoto’s hair stood on end. He stepped backward in shock. “That’s… Young Master Gohon?!”
“Yes.” Shiroishi Kazuma smiled awkwardly. “After Young Master Gohon’s thing was injured and incurable, he changed drastically and became like this.”
“He didn’t go to Dailand?” Commander Miyamoto asked softly. “At least he might be better than he is now.”
“We were preparing to go.” Shiroishi Kazuma shook his head helplessly. “But President Gohon… sigh. We shouldn’t have thought of going against him. He’s too scary.”
Shiroishi Kazuma’s voice was not loud, but Ko Gohon, who was in the room, suddenly shouted, “Going against who? Hong Dali?! What happened to my father?”
Ko Gohon had become like this, but his hearing became really good. It would be impossible for anyone else to hear it.

“Yes, Hong Dali.” Shiroishi Kazuma carefully said, “President Gohon was killed.”
Hearing that, the door suddenly opened. Ko Gohon stood at the door and stared at both men. There was hatred in his eyes. “What’s the use of my father paying you? Good for nothing!” Ko Gohon was wearing a black lacy dress with red lipstick. The scent of perfume was overpowering. He looked scarily furious!
Commander Miyamoto was drenched in sweat. “Yes… yes. President Gohon was assassinated. We are to blame. But that’s not what’s important now. We need someone to take over Toyoda Conglomerate. Young Master Gohon…”
“I changed my name.” Ko Gohon shook his head. “The trip to Dailand is pending. I cannot be called Ko Gohon anymore.”
“In that case… Young Master Gohon, your new name is… Tell me so I could change your ID for you…”
“My identity will be Ko Gohon’s cousin.” Ko Gohon looked at Shiroishi Kazuma and Commander Miyamoto. “My name is Ran Asakawa. Don’t forget.”
“O… okay!” Commander Miyamoto noted down immediately. “Miss Ran Asakawa, we’ll take our leave first, okay?”
“Go.” Ko Goho, who was now Ran Asakawa, waved his band. “Remember my warning—don’t provoke Hong Dali. No one will be able to protect you otherwise!”
“Yes, yes. I understand!”
As they left Toyoda manor, Commander Miyamoto let our a long sigh. “It’s too scary, simply too scary…”
“Hong Dali is too bizarre. We cannot afford to provoke him.” Shiroishi Kazuma sighed. “The news of President Gohon’s passing, please take care of it, Commander Miyamoto. As for the other matters, Toyoda Conglomerate will bear with it. We don’t want anything related to Hong Dali anymore. Please think of solutions.”
“Aye.” Commander Miyamoto sighed. “Forget it. I’ll send someone to contact Merika to get their views on this matter. As long as Hong Dali is around, there won’t be peace in Jaban! We are not his match. We can only hope that Merika has a way to deal with him.”
“Merika?” Shiroishi Kazuma laughed and shook his head. “I’ve gone up against Hong Dali before. I know how powerful he is. Merika probably cannot even fend for themselves. Aye.”
…
Merika, National Security Bureau.
“Latest news from Heavenly State. Hong Dali came up with a protective screen which can deflect guided missiles.” National Security Bureau’s Chief Salon sat in his office and rubbed his temples. “My God, how can we deal with this monster?”
“That’s not good news.” Defense Minister Itra was having a headache as well. “The problem is, if we don’t do anything, and allow Hong Dali to continue developing, the outcome will be disastrous. This will impact Merika’s say on the international level.”
“I know that. The problem is, how do we deal with it!” Salon replied. “Angel of Misfortune is useless now. We don’t know how effective our weapons are. If a war breaks out, our military power might not be their match.”
As he said that, Itra suddenly rubbed his chin. “Speaking of which, Hong Dali said his two carriers had such a protective screen? Not just his cars?”
“Even his cars have a protective screen, would his aircraft carriers be spared?” Salon said, dispirited. “Those are aircraft carriers, and we gave it to him with our own two hands.”
“Not necessarily.” Itra shook his head and said, “Think about it, Hong Dali said his aircraft carriers have the protective screen. Let’s not dispute if it’s real. Even if he has it, that doesn’t mean he dares to declare a war upon us. That’s where the problem lies. If we send three aircraft carriers there for a military exercise, what kind of reaction do you think it will trigger?”
“You’re crazy!” Salon was shocked. “Their technology is so advanced now. You actually want to do a military exercise at their doorstep?”
“The military exercise is just for show. What we really want to do is find out more information.” Itra smiled. “In this era, between super countries like ours, it’s definitely impossible to fight. Therefore, the only way for Heavenly State to handle our military exercise, is to hold a military exercise themselves. If they don’t have the protective screen, they wouldn’t dare to act rashly. We are still the best in the world.”
Salon asked, “What if they really have it?”
Itra: “Then we’ll leave right after our military exercise. What can they do to us?”
Salon: “Hmm, that’s a good suggestion. Haha. Let’s do it!”
“I’ll go get ready.” Itra stood up. “I’ll ask the army to get ready. As for Jaban State, could you contact them please?”
“En, no problem!”
