Chapter 73: School Festival

Ring~ Ring~

A hand suddenly shot out from the blanket and grabbed the phone on the bedside desk.

"Hello?" Michael put his phone beside his ear and answered in a still sleepy voice.

"Michael! Please accompany me to my school today!" Tina’s excited voice sounded from the other end of the line.

"Huh? Why?" Michael replied thoroughly confused at why she’s calling him early in the moring to tell him to go with her in her high school.

"It’s because we have a School Festival today, and because Dylan doesn’t want to come as he wants to play his game instead, and Mom is busy with work right now and won’t come till late afternoon, that’s why I want you to come with me to school"

"Wait..what!?"

Michael wasn’t feeling sleepy anymore and immediately sat up on his bed when he heard what Tina said on the phone.

"We have a school festival! So are you coming with me or not?"

"That’s not the point, when did Central High even had a school festival? I remember they didn’t have one before"

"It’s because our new principal now is an Asian, I heard she wanted our school to hold a school festival just like those schools in eastern countries, so as far as I know, you could say that Central High is the first one to have that kind of a school event here in the country"

"But that’s beside the point, you haven’t answered me yet! Are you coming or not?"

"Well..I’m busy"

"Okay...come pick me up at our house eight o’clock! I’ll be waiting, okay?"

"What!? Wait!"

Beep! Beep! Beep!

Only the sound of a busy tone could be heard.

"This brat.."

Michael huffed in anger.

"That Dylan...f*cking jerk. I’m sure he’s the one who put that idea into her sister’s head!"

"Damn!"

Michael continued to grumble to himself, but at the same time, he’s already started preparing himself by picking some nice clothes for the event, he even shamelessly called Tom to ask if he could borrow his car, which the latter readily agreed without even any shred of hesitation.

A few minutes later, Michael came out of his parents apartment holding a car key with the logo of a bull on it.

Ding!

The elevator opened as Michael arrived at the small underground parking lot of the apartment building, where he immediately saw a variety of cars parked there, with one particular car looking very eye catching amongst them.

Michael stood in front of a silver dark car, "An Urus Lamborghini, what a sick ride that old man has"

Beep! Beep!

Michael smiled and entered the car, the car’s engine brimmed to life, and Michael drove the car towards the exit, with the security guard immediately lowering the Stainless Steel Automatic Rising Traffic Barrier of the exit.

Michael honked at the guard as thanks, and arrived at the road, and Michael immediately made his way towards the direction of Dylan’s home.

"Haist, I was suppose to play all day today" Michael grumbled.

Arriving at Dylan’s place.

Michael already saw Tina standing at the front door, dressed in a simple denim jeans, a white shirt and a pair of sneakers, a huge contrast with Michael who’s dressed in almost all black.

Michael’s choice of clothing today is a black hooded jacket with an open front over a white t-shirt, a black jagger pants and also a pair of black sneakers.

"Get in!" Michael lowered the car window and shouted towards Tina.

Tina raised her head and saw Michael sitting inside a car, she immediately walked towards him and said, "I didn’t know you have a car, and this one looks really expensive at that."

"It’s not mine, its my old man’s" Michael rolled his eyes towards her.

"Just get in"

Tina walked at the other side, opened the door and sat on the passenger seat.

"Aren’t men supposed to open the door for us women?" Tina said, the moment she got inside.

Michael didn’t answer and just glared at her, which made Tina giggle as she knew that Michael is so~ not having a good day because of her.

Michael quickly started the car and drove towards the direction of Central High.

Half an hour later.

Michael and Tina finally arrived in front of Central High, but Michael continued driving as he drove towards the east side of the school where there is a parking lot for students only.

’God, what am I even doing here’ Michael complained constantly inside. Even though he really didn’t want to go, when he thought of Tina not having anyone to come with her with how busy her family is, and he also understood the reason why Dylan didn’t want to go and instead brought up the idea of dragging Michael instead to his sister, so he had no choice as he knew Dylan is now depending on the game to earn a living and so in the end, he still came even though he felt like a cow being dragged to the butchers, but at the same time, he’s curious about the school festival and how much it would differ from those high schools in Eastern Countries.

And on their way there, they saw a lot of parents, relatives and friends of the students around the school.

After that, they found a vacant spot and parked there and then both of them immediately got out of the car.

"Let’s go" Tina said as she immediately led the way, with Michael following behind her.

Michael noticed along the way that a lot of people are looking towards their direction, especially the girls that Michael even thought that there’s something on his face.

"Hey Athena!"

Tina and Michael turned to look towards the voice. A slim and pretty female student wearing a pink skorts and a half sleeve blue shirt with flower embroidery was standing there waving at them, with another girl with glasses beside her who’s busy looking at her phone.

"Emma!"

Tina smiled and waved back as she quickly started walking towards them.
