2:1 [hgb] 我 劝 你 第 一 要 为 万 人 恳 求 祷 告 ， 代 求 ， 祝 谢 。
[kjv] I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
[bbe] My desire is, first of all, that you will make requests and prayers and give praise for all men;
2:2 [hgb] 为 君 王 和 一 切 在 位 的 也 该 如 此 。 使 我 们 可 以 敬 虔 端 正 ， 平 安 无 事 的 度 日 。
[kjv] For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
[bbe] For kings and all those in authority; so that we may have a calm and quiet life in all fear of God and serious behaviour.
2:3 [hgb] 这 是 好 的 ， 在 神 我 们 救 主 面 前 可 蒙 悦 纳 。
[kjv] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
[bbe] This is good and pleasing in the eyes of God our Saviour;
2:4 [hgb] 他 愿 意 万 人 得 救 ， 明 白 真 道 。
[kjv] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
[bbe] Whose desire is that all men may have salvation and come to the knowledge of what is true.
2:5 [hgb] 因 为 只 有 一 位 神 ， 在 神 和 人 中 间 ， 只 有 一 位 中 保 ， 乃 是 降 世 为 人 的 基 督 耶 稣 。
[kjv] For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
[bbe] For there is one God and one peacemaker between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
2:6 [hgb] 他 舍 自 己 作 万 人 的 赎 价 。 到 了 时 候 ， 这 事 必 证 明 出 来 。
[kjv] Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
[bbe] Who gave himself as an offering for all; witness of which was to be given at the right time;
2:7 [hgb] 我 为 此 奉 派 ， 作 传 道 的 ， 作 使 徒 ， 作 外 邦 人 的 师 傅 ， 教 导 他 们 相 信 ， 学 习 真 道 。 我 说 的 是 真 话 ， 并 不 是 谎 言 。
[kjv] Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
[bbe] And of this I became a preacher and an Apostle (what I say is true, not false,) and a teacher of the Gentiles in the true faith.
2:8 [hgb] 我 愿 男 人 无 忿 怒 ， 无 争 论 ， （ 争 论 或 作 疑 惑 ） ， 举 起 圣 洁 的 手 ， 随 处 祷 告 。
[kjv] I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
[bbe] It is my desire, then, that in every place men may give themselves to prayer, lifting up holy hands, without wrath or argument.
2:9 [hgb] 又 愿 女 人 廉 耻 ， 自 守 ， 以 正 派 衣 裳 为 妆 饰 ， 不 以 编 发 ， 黄 金 ， 珍 珠 ， 和 贵 价 的 衣 裳 为 妆 饰 。
[kjv] In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
[bbe] And that women may be dressed in simple clothing, with a quiet and serious air; not with twisted hair and gold or jewels or robes of great price;
2:10 [hgb] 只 要 有 善 行 。 这 才 与 自 称 是 敬 神 的 女 人 相 宜 。
[kjv] But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
[bbe] But clothed with good works, as is right for women who are living in the fear of God.
2:11 [hgb] 女 人 要 沉 静 学 道 ， 一 味 地 顺 服 。
[kjv] Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
[bbe] Let a woman quietly take the place of a learner and be under authority.
2:12 [hgb] 我 不 许 女 人 讲 道 ， 也 不 许 她 辖 管 男 人 ， 只 要 沉 静 。
[kjv] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
[bbe] In my opinion it is right for a woman not to be a teacher, or to have rule over a man, but to be quiet.
2:13 [hgb] 因 为 先 造 的 是 亚 当 ， 后 造 的 是 夏 娃 。
[kjv] For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
[bbe] For Adam was first formed, then Eve;
2:14 [hgb] 且 不 是 亚 当 被 引 诱 ， 乃 是 女 人 被 引 诱 ， 陷 在 罪 里 。
[kjv] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
[bbe] And Adam was not taken by deceit, but the woman, being tricked, became a wrongdoer.
2:15 [hgb] 然 而 女 人 若 常 存 信 心 爱 心 ， 又 圣 洁 自 守 ， 就 必 在 生 产 上 得 救 。
[kjv] Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
[bbe] But if they go on in faith and love and holy self-control, she will be kept safe at the time of childbirth.
