Tyson took one hard look at his choices. They were both of epic quality but differed in their focus and expertise.
Before his death he would have taken the first choice, simply because it allowed him to ignore his mistakes and even make him better in aspects he thought he lacked.
It would have been the worse choice.
Power alone would not allow him to free himself from his shackles, as he could not harm his summoner or act against his commands. That included indirect measures.
Also the Ancient Nightmare sounded like it had style. Sure Blood magic sounded cool in theory, but running around with weeks maybe even years old blood as your body. Disgusting.
It only took a simple mental command to progress.
Then he blacked out for a moment.
A shift in perspective, maybe a few centimetres higher, and notification windows overlapping before his eyes.
Deciding to check them out later, he minimized them with a thought.
Aside from the dimensions his body had not changed much from what he could tell. Maybe he had become a little bit darker?
„I think the purifier would be a good choice. The paladin class has overall better stats but the gods will is a fickle thing and best not to be dependent on for your future class choices.“
Michal nodded to his mothers words and pressed his finger against an invisible window.
Great, that class sounded like absolutely wonderful news for him.
And it also meant, his option had been so good that he had immediately take it, so a rare class at least.
„But now you should go to bed so you can be well rested when we go to the city tomorrow.“
Michael smiled and ran out of the door. The mother gave Tyson a curious glance,
„The gods and their irony“
before turning away to write a letter.
He followed michal for now, with a sedated pace eagerly awaiting the night.
When he arrived the boy had already changed into more comfortable clothes, now sitting on his bed.
The boy stood up and closed the door behind them.

Michals room was much too plain for a child's room in Tyson's opinion. No toys, clothes lying around or anything else typically associated with ten year old’s.
And the moment the door closed, michal breathed out with gravitas.
„You know, you and I have much to weather together.“
He gave Tyson a long hard look, and the Dark Lord saw an immense determination in those eyes.
„When the gods gave me the mission I was enthusiastic. But now, ten years later, I just want to live a quiet live away from all the fighting.“
Michal chuckled a bit. There was something wrong, really wrong here.
„Fighting, back in my world ahh that may sound crazy, was allot easier. We had nothing to lose, if we died that was it. No hard feelings.
But now, I have a family maybe soon I will make some friends.“
Michal wrapped himself in his blanket and gave Tyson one last look.
„You probably didn’t understand any of that. Still feels good to finally tell someone.“ he chuckled and closed his eyes.
No, Tyson understood everything perfectly.
His shadowy form shuddered.
That was no easily manipulated ten year old. He was a damn reincarnater.
Now all the pieces fell together. The name, Michal was not just a coincidence.
The brown hair and those deep green eyes, the same eyes that had stared at him smug and elated as the bomb went of.
Tyson wanted to scream. To give up and disappear.
His identety would need to remain secret even more so now.
Maybe he could try to flee one day, his evolution seemed to intensivist autonomy rather strongly, maybe a skill to break the contract.
On this note he pulled up his notifications.
