Chapter 3: The chiken that anounced the end of the world

Michal screamed, waking up with a body drenched in sweat.

Tysons abominable raven form rippled before reforming into a blob of darkness.

The two stared each other in the eyes before Michal went to dress himself. Line clothes, in simple colouration nothing expensive.

The former dark lord could sympathise with bad memory's, his own trauma from the night before still stuck deep.

He got the incredible idea to run away, only to be reminded of by the contract magic that he had a distant limit to his Master.

The morning opened into a horrible bright and loud day.

Huddled next to a small window in the attic, Tyson watched the boy swing his wooden sword against imaginary enemy's standing in a see of golden stalks.
His strikes were faster than they had any right to be, ocattionaly something golden could be seen zapping around the sword.

A breeze went through the trees and then travelled over the fields disappearing in the distance. At first it had not bothered him, he hadn't even noticed it.

Every sensation every ray of light shone allot brighter after the dark of the afterlife or wherever he had been, but now that glow had faded a little.

But now he missed the smell of the forest, the taste of a well made dish and the sensation of the wind brushing over his skin.

The only light on the horizon were the magic lessons that Michals mother promised them in the evening.

Hours later, the sun was about to sink.Carefully sneaking down the stairs, hoping the two sisters wouldn't find him, he made his way into the study.

“So you are a wrath huh?” Michal grinned and patted Tysons head faster than he could doge. “Scary, scary. So you have someone from your last life you want to haunt. Maybe one day you could tell me, well if you actually remember much.”

Yeah it would be an absolute blessing to the world if you just killed yourself.

Luckily Michals mother entered the study before Tyson could be abused any further.

„Magic is a force of nature. It is everywhere, and no aspect of it is good or evil.“

Seria, he found out her name this morning, waved her hand, conjuring small flakes of snow. Slowly they drifted down, mesmerising the two reincarnated individuals.

„Now spells and ability's come in many forms but they have one thing in common. Do one of you two know what that is?”

Tyson appreciated the thought, although he still hadn’t figured out how to speak.

„They all use chakra.“

His mother smiled and ruffled Michals hair. Some of Tyson's goodwill to her evaporated again.

„Exactly, and to harness chakra we have to draw in the energy around us and convert it into our own. Spirits,“

She looked at Tysen.

„Can do it instinctually but humans have to practice to draw it into them.“

Michal shot Tyson an offended look and Tyson shot one back, well as good as he could manage.

His mother then went into exhaustive explantation about breathing, the right posture and all that crap, to which Michal listen with stars in his eyes.

But all the yoga aside, the core of the exercise revolved around an unbroken concentration and a mental picture of streams converting into a core.

At first, he tried thinking of himself as polarised pulling in the chakra particles. That didn’t work out well, as he began questioning the notion of negatively and positively charged chakra.

It clicked for him when he pictured Einstein's explanation about gravity.

He did not quite see the world in a new light, nor was he flooded with power. But instead a small fickle light inside of his mind glowed ever so slightly stronger.

The amber was like breathing, at the back of your mind until something changed and you became extremely aware of it. Only that he did not breath any more.

Bad analogies aside he did get a skill for his effort.
