Chapter 32: Chapter 24: C or B?

Ignoring the stunned men, Eel would just continue on into the room towards the mission boards.

With Eel’s named status the team would usually take some harder quests from C-Rank or easier from B-Ranks though it heavily depends on what the quest entails as location and requirements are a large part.

One could also say that their party is also quite well balanced with a paladin, a skilled spear using master hunter and an all round support. Of course Eel hardly needs a tank and most of the time Fuka is just doing other things but each party has their own way of accomplishing something - especially in the higher ranks where the people (both personality and skill wise) tend to be more unique…

<Though some people remain boring no matter how strong they are...>

With those thoughts Eel walked up to the C-Rank missions to peak through a few of them to find something a bit more interesting but nothing that would get the trio of tagalongs killed.

<Rob gets annoyed when I let the rookies die on my watch… Only happened once though but who expects a fully grown guy to try to take on the charge of a gigaboar! Oh, that one looks interesting… A Pangolem has been seen around the place and killed a few cattle and a farmer who didn’t realize it’s natural earthen armour isn’t for show - well it’s apparently a regular Pangolem but only accounts are from villagers and some adventurers who tried to engage but failed… Hm? Say they lost a rogue? Was he shit or perhamps it was it the evolved Pangolem Ravager that gained pounce? That would mean I could get away with doing a B-Ranked Mission!>

Pounce is similar to flash step except for more bestial monsters that usually ends with someone having their throat mauled instead of leading into an attack… Something that she also has but hasn’t shared yet.

<Every girls got her secrets~ also, no need to publicize my trump cards to a nation I seek to destroy in the future… Tehe~♥>

Soon Eel felt something soft press against her arm while also a pair of slender arms wrapped around it to keep it in place between the small mounds.

“Did you find something you like?” <Emily>

Her soft voice echoed softly in Eel’s ear - feeling her hot breath and body warmth through her arm was like heaven for the dragon. Almost enough to forget the endless battlelust she felt. Letting out a soft sigh as she place her spear down for a second so that she could softly cup an ear of the cow, softly caressing it to get a pleasant ‘mu~’ in response as a warm smile made it’s way onto Eel’s face.

Her little cowgirl gently nudged her head against the petting with closed eyes while Eel continued on. Speaking in an equally softy manner as you could practically see the sparkles and hearts in the air around the couple.

“Yea, I’m suspicious this job might be a rush job and the monster mislabeled as a C-Rank not B-Rank so I’m going to accept it ‘for uncle Rob so that nobody else needs to take this risky job’.” <Eel>

Emily didn’t believe the excuse that it was for someone else that Elizabeth was excepting but she hardly needed it - the context didn’t matter. All that mattered to Emily was that her Beth wanted to do the job so they would do it.

Emily placed her head onto Elizabeth’s shoulder while tightly hugging her right arm while Eel proceeded to rest the spear on her left shoulder, holding it in her left hand in a seemingly relaxed fashion as she glanced towards the trio+half-gobo.

Thanks to Fuka’s uncanny ability to read people as well as a laid back but friendly character the three men were calmer and even allowed themselves to wander. Obviously their main targets were Fuka’s assets which were exaggerated by the armour but Eel was sure they wouldn’t be disappointed by the time they got through the metal and into the flesh. Nobody ever has been before…

<I wonder how far exactly it is between her entrance and womb… Maybe I can find out when I finally evolve and become a proper dragon>

At that Eel could just sigh as it felt like she hardly made any progress after the first year in that regard. Sure, she could grow a tail and some claws but no wings but most importantly no breath.

<A dragon ain’t a dragon unless they have a dragons breath - it’s not even really a rite of passage for anyone other than those who went through live birth as it was naturally expected that all dragons had a breath! Only sub-dragons like wyverns didn’t - one of the reasons dragons apparently look down on them like humans would look down on… Well everyone? If Orrid is to be believed at least.>

“Ah, that’s fine, that tallies up with what was recorded by the barrier. For a second I got confused.” <Guard A>

“You should really spend less time in the brothels if you can hardly open your eyes!” <Guard B>

The guard replied with a boisterous laugh while the other just looked away and crossed his arms with an annoyed look on his face as he confirmed that everything was as it should be. The guard already thinking about which brothel to visit for the night once this already shitty day was over.
