Chapter 33: Chapter 25: The Quick Hunt of the Stone Boi

It was a sunny day and the loud footsteps of a monster could be heard casually meandering through the forest - the soft crunching of the foliage beneath being overshadowed by the sound of the stone plates of the creature sliding across one another.

A Pangolem was a creature known not only for it’s large defense but it’s dangerous claws which it uses to dig both dirt and internals of other creatures. A large armoured body that hunches over almost as if to guard it’s more squishy insides. Two large menacing claws present on either one of it’s grubby little hands…

Though calling it little may be a mistake as the creature stood at about 3 foot….

Or at least this one did as most instead stood at 2.5 - but when facing a giant they all appear harder. Harder to tell if a smaller creature is larger than it’s meant to be rather than a bigger one being bigger.

It was just minding its own business as it walked around - already all the creatures in the area knew how to fear this king of the kingdom.

Although it didn’t have any dragon's blood in it, it wasn’t to be looked down on. Although they are slow this one makes up for that with it’s evolution into a Ravager which gave it the ability to pounce - which it quickly began to master.

With a mixture of it’s fearsome claws, armoured body and it’s new skill that came for free he became a beast in his own right!

As it was walking however, something unexpected happened!

It found a set of intestines; they smelled like those domesticated black and white creatures that it enjoyed so much it risked attacking that human village; yet here it was for free right in front of it!

At first, it was careful, slowly walking around while keeping its large beady black eyes looking all around. Soon it got to the point where it began to circle around the organs. However hunger overcame it’s care soon enough and it began to slurp down the intestines that were just out in the open on the floor. It was refreshing and cool - nice and full of juice - and soon the Pangolem finished up it’s delicious meal.

Now it began to wander again.

Time went on and it didn’t notice much happening but then suddenly it caught a figure in front of itself. A little girl with long violet hair and a lot of meat on her body - another free meal!

Although she had a spear he didn’t care too much and was about to pounce on her when suddenly she vanished from his sight and he felt the overbearing presence crashing down on him! The only thing he can compare would be the feeling when he was chased around by the {Giant Green Lizard} but even that couldn’t compare to this!

Before he could even return to his senses a sharp pain made it’s way through his stomach as it would automatically swipe it’s left claw under itself - feeling itself connect slightly but with it’s massive claw that was enough to send the attack flying.

Soon crashing into a tree with a *Bang* and explosion on splinters

“Urgh! Certainly a nasty little critter but I doubt you can pounce like that can you~?” <Eel>

Eel slowly moved her spear; that she held in her left hand; to prop herself up from the tree wreckage. Suddenly a golden light mixed with a bit of pinkish purple consumed her right arm which hung limply to her side - a large set of twin gash present up to her bone from the twin claws of the pangolem.

“We only weakened his armour Beth, you should be more careful… I don’t like seeing you get hurt, I’d rather if you hur-” <Emily>

“Don’t worry Mil, a little scratch like this won’t even take half an hour to heal!” <Eel>

Eel deciding to swiftly cut Emily off before she could continue on, she could only blame Leaf for this.

But, it wasn’t like she was lying either as her wound was quickly closing up and it didn’t seem like she was affected at all by the blood loss - the way most dragons actually were hunted was apparently through blood loss not some epic ‘cutting the head of the dragon’ or ‘charging through the dragon's heart’.

Although, the precious dragon's blood that held the powerful bloodline of the dragon was lost, it was the only way to really tire out most dragons unless you were looking for losses in the thousands for hunting one… Maybe even more losses.

<Well, not like it matters for me. If I kill a dragon it’ll be in  an epic melee!>

Forgetting the fact she, herself, was a dragon.

Slowly walking towards the already wounded Pangolem, Eel just grinned as the Pangolem cradled it’s bleeding stomach. The beast almost seemed to be glaring at her with it’s teeth bared - seemingly coming back to itself when it realized such a little creature used some trick to get a free hit on itself.

However, as it held it’s other claw up as if to intercept any action she may make, a shadow came from the ground to bind it’s feet for a second allowing for Eel to duck towards it’s left side - slamming her spear straight through the side of it’s little skull - piercing through the should be tough stone like mud - before jumping back from the last and feeble attempt to clip her again with its claw. The momentum of it’s last attack dragging it down with a loud *THUD*.

“And another one down, that water enhancement poison really did a number on the guys armour~!” <Eel>

“Wouldn’t have worked so well if you didn’t manage to suppress it though…” <Emily>

“It’s just a little trick. You on the other hand used your big brain to help me out~” <Eel>

Eel said while walking up to Emily who hid behind a tree off to one side, getting a head pat from Eel was a reward. Eel careful not to get too intimate with her ears or horns in case she gets sexually assaulted by the cow again or the cow passes out from over stimulation - both quite regular occurrences.

Of course, the bloodline suppression wasn’t a trick but rather an effect of her strong bloodline forming into the intimidation skill.

There are other ways to get a similar affect such as bloodlust, killing intent, etc. but blood suppression was likely one of the rarer ones on this continent at least. Although, apparently a lot of clans existed that had similar abilities under the ocean and in the east where apparently a lot of bloodthirsty people lived and killed each other. Mother apparently spent most her time back handing them back to where they came from since the only connections to that side of the world were the sea, the plague lands and the passage of dragons.

The first may seem easier except for one small detail, Mother.

The second was literally a place where all the plagues know to man existed, only the most poisonous plants could exists and most importantly (and scarily) Pandora the Ancient Evil Dragon of Plagues lived along with the last Horseman of the Apocalypse - Death the Pale Rider. It is a stated fact that in terms of dragons, Pandora is the only evil-dragon to have ever evolved into the ancient prefix which is a step away from godhood due to a small little detail… She can’t die due to her being the bearer of all curses and plagues known and unknown to man.

I plan to have her appear as a cold tom-boy type, being what some would consider a 'reverse trap' btw
