[kjv] Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;
[bbe] <To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.> O Lord, take me out of the power of the evil man; keep me safe from the violent man:
140:2 [hgb] 他 们 心 中 图 谋 奸 恶 ， 常 常 聚 集 要 争 战 。
[kjv] Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.
[bbe] For their hearts are full of evil designs; and they are ever making ready causes of war.
140:3 [hgb] 他 们 使 舌 头 尖 利 如 蛇 ， 嘴 里 有 虺 蛇 的 毒 气 。 （ 细 拉 ）
[kjv] They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.
[bbe] Their tongues are sharp like the tongue of a snake; the poison of snakes is under their lips. (Selah.)
140:4 [hgb] 耶 和 华 阿 ， 求 你 拯 救 我 脱 离 恶 人 的 手 ， 保 护 我 脱 离 强 暴 的 人 。 他 们 图 谋 推 我 跌 倒 。
[kjv] Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
[bbe] O Lord, take me out of the hands of sinners; keep me safe from the violent man: for they are designing my downfall.
140:5 [hgb] 骄 傲 人 为 我 暗 设 网 罗 和 绳 索 。 他 们 在 路 旁 铺 下 网 ， 设 下 圈 套 。 （ 细 拉 ）
[kjv] The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.
[bbe] The men of pride have put secret cords for my feet; stretching nets in my way, so that they may take me with their tricks. (Selah.)
140:6 [hgb] 我 曾 对 耶 和 华 说 ， 你 是 我 的 神 。 耶 和 华 阿 ， 求 你 留 心 听 我 恳 求 的 声 音 。
[kjv] I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.
[bbe] I have said to the Lord, You are my God: give ear, O Lord, to the voice of my prayer.
140:7 [hgb] 主 耶 和 华 ， 我 救 恩 的 力 量 阿 ， 在 争 战 的 日 子 ， 你 遮 蔽 了 我 的 头 。
[kjv] O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
[bbe] O Lord God, the strength of my salvation, you have been a cover over my head in the day of the fight.
140:8 [hgb] 耶 和 华 阿 ， 求 你 不 要 遂 恶 人 的 心 愿 。 不 要 成 就 他 们 的 计 谋 ， 恐 怕 他 们 自 高 。 （ 细 拉 ）
[kjv] Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.
[bbe] O Lord, give not the wrongdoer his desire; give him no help in his evil designs, or he may be uplifted in pride. (Selah.)
140:9 [hgb] 至 于 那 些 昂 首 围 困 我 的 人 ， 愿 他 们 嘴 唇 的 奸 恶 陷 害 （ 原 文 作 遮 蔽 ） 自 己 。
[kjv] As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
[bbe] As for those who come round me, let their heads be covered by the evil of their lips.
140:10 [hgb] 愿 火 炭 落 在 他 们 身 上 。 愿 他 们 被 丢 在 火 中 ， 抛 在 深 坑 里 ， 不 能 再 起 来 。
[kjv] Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.
[bbe] Let burning flames come down on them: let them be put into the fire, and into deep waters, so that they may not get up again.
140:11 [hgb] 说 恶 言 的 人 ， 在 地 上 必 坚 立 不 住 。 祸 患 必 猎 取 强 暴 的 人 ， 将 他 打 倒 。
[kjv] Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
[bbe] Let not a man of evil tongue be safe on earth: let destruction overtake the violent man with blow on blow.
140:12 [hgb] 我 知 道 耶 和 华 必 为 困 苦 人 伸 冤 ， 必 为 穷 乏 人 辨 屈 。
[kjv] I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.
[bbe] I am certain that the Lord will take care of the cause of the poor, and of the rights of those who are troubled.
140:13 [hgb] 义 人 必 要 称 赞 你 的 名 。 正 直 人 必 住 在 你 面 前 。
[kjv] Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
[bbe] Truly, the upright will give praise to your name: the holy will have a place in your house.
